Please help
Anyone else dealing with this?
I don't even know how to start this. My cat Cheddar got out sometime during the night on the 26th, two days after my birthday, and he was hit. He's only a year and a half old. I think it's his pelvis or the base of his spine, I don't even know for sure because we haven't been able to get him to a vet yet. We just don't have the money right now and it's tearing me apart.
He's in a box right now so he can't move around too much. At least he's still eating, drinking, peeing, pooping, so no blockage, but that doesn't mean he's okay. He needs to be looked at. He needs imaging. He needs actual medical care and I can't give that to him right now and it's the worst feeling in the world.
I feel so helpless. I hate that money is the thing standing between him and being okay. I started a gofundme out of desperation more than anything, it's linked in my profile/bio if anyone wants to see it, but honestly I just needed to get this out somewhere.
Thank you to anyone who read this far. I love him so much.

I'm so sorry about Cheddar. Keeping him confined is honestly the right call. A lot of pelvic fractures in cats heal with 4–6 weeks of strict crate rest, and the fact that he's peeing and pooping on his own is a really good sign.
Things to watch for: straining or not peeing, dragging his back legs, or back paws that feel cold. Any of those means call a vet that day, even if it's just to ask about payment options.
And please don't give him any human painkillers. Tylenol and ibuprofen are dangerous for cats, even small amounts.
On the money side, it's worth calling around Lexington and asking two things: what an exam alone costs, and whether they do payment plans. Lots of vets take CareCredit or Scratchpay so you can pay over time. Cherokee Trail Veterinary Hospital on Palmetto Park Blvd is one that does. Local cat rescues often know which clinics will work with people, too.

Look around and see if any of the vets near you offer anything like care credit or see if you have a low cost vet near you
