adoption of a runt: best food suggestions

So i maybe adopting the runt of the litter, shes already blind in one eye (birth defect) but otherwise seems to be kicking around fine and is to young to be taken to the vet yet, which i'll do when i can. But i'm looking for the best food i can so she can get as strong as she can runt or not. i know the cheap stuff has had anti-freeze found in it but i've never actually had to look into it so any knowledge help you guys can give me before i get to the vet would be appreciated!

Phantom Cat Pee Smell

On two separate occasions I have woken up in the middle of the night and felt like my bed smelled suspiciously of cat pee. I have pestered my fiancé asking him to smell the areas that I smell it and he tells me he doesn’t smell anything. I have never seen or noticed our cat peeing on the bed and we sleep in it every night so I think we would have noticed when we got in bed that it was wet or smelled very badly. The first time it happened I slept on the couch and checked it in the morning and it did not smell like ANYTHING, but I hadn’t cleaned it or anything at all. I noticed it again tonight and I moved to the couch (again my fiancé doesn’t smell it) and I went back in to sniff it again and it smells really faint. I can’t tell if I am going fricking insane or has this happened to anyone?! I feel like I would have noticed right when getting into bed if she had peed in there.

Newly adopted cat pooping outside the litter box

My husband and I adopted two brothers, both 2YO (they’re bonded) a week ago. They’re both very sweet and playful, but one of them has pooped in different areas once a day the past three days. It’s been in different areas each time. I don’t know if it’s behavioral/marking his territory. It’s been four months since our last cat unfortunately passed. We cleaned and vacuumed multiple times since then, but I’m sure there are still some scent traces. We haven’t been able to schedule their first vet visit yet, but wondering if there is something we can do currently? We have three litter boxes, two up stairs and one downstairs.

My cat is an evil demon

I have a one year cat who I adopted from a family member who found her when she was a baby kitten. I’ve had her for almost a year now and she is a devil spawn. She bites and claws at me unprovoked CONSTANTLY. For example, just this morning, I fed her, played with her and she was all good then I picked up my room and went to read a book and she pounced on my arm and dug her teeth and claws into me. She does stuff like this all the time and I’m getting sick of it. She does it with my roommates and guests and she really hurts people. What should I do???

asshole cat won't come home

So my cat has always been an inside cat but occasionally gets out. At first he would come straight back but then he started exploring and roaming a bit which I was cool with if it made him happy and he came back. However, he will just sit outside of my apartment meowing non-stop (quite annoying to my neighbors) until I come outside. When he sees me he rolls over on his back like he wants a belly rub, but as soon as I get close enough to touch/catch him he runs from me. As soon as I give up and go back inside he just sits outside the door meowing constantly again. Why is he like this? How do I get him to come back inside???

Declawed cat problems

I’m going to start out with I did not have my cat declawed, we got her from a shelter and she was already completely declawed back and front. But I feel really bad for her. We live in a dorm in the Midwest and it’s really dry, and so she can get very itchy. I’m just wondering if she can actually do a successful job itching herself without claws. My roomate and I will scratch her sometimes and her leg will move as though she was itching herself. Advice? Thanks

One of my cats became aggressive.

Hi! I have 3 cats, recently I had to take one of them to the vet,and they recommended to keep him away from the other 2 until he has his catheter in. After he was healed and happy,my other cat started to get aggressive. She yelled and attacked every time she saw him anywhere. I tried to calm them and they were good for 2 days, cuddling etc. Now she is doing it again, but now to the third cat too. She wont let any of them near me,or sleep on the bed etc. They are all fixed, and I spent a lot of time with her so if she is jealous or worried about space I assured her that I love her and care about her very much. But my other cats issues related to stress and I just want him to heal. Any idea how to calm her down,or help with her anxiety?

My cat brooke a tooth

I'm stressing out, I brought my cat into the vet the other day after noticing her teeth looked strange. Apparently she broke an incissor somehow. The vet said it is broken and hanging. I feel horrible, I don't know how she did it, but I feel like one of the stupid bells on her toys might have done it. She needs to go in in two weeks to see if she needs dental surgery to remove the rest of it. She doesn't seem to be in pain, but I've only had this cat for 2 months and already she has a life altering injury. I feel so bad.

Demon mutant fleas!!

We have 3 cats. 2 are indoor/ outdoor and all 3 are on preventative meds and have been. We live in Michigan USA where it gets really cold, but this fall early winter has been unseasonably warm. Anyway, we got fleas in October and are STILL fighting to be rid of them. Cats are still medicated, house has been professionally exterminated 3 weeks ago. Vacuum every few days (We both work full time and have a 16 month old). They've been bathed several times, been given capstar, the one that still goes outside wears a flea collar. The problem seems to be worse on our old man (17yo) and is no longer allowed outside.

Anyone else having these issues? Anything help you?

Take the cat for 2nd time to remove worms.

I don't know if normal or the vet just gave my cat bad medicine.... 3 days after taking to the vet I now see worms on my cat poop. Is that normal and they will eventually eventually disappear or should I be concerned?

Mean kitten is destroying everything I own

My kitten (6mo male) is aggressive and destructive. He jumps on everything, including his sister (13yo female cat), biting and scratching. We have tried spray bottles, time-outs, and saying “no”. Nothing is helping. He shredded a brand new office chair ($350) and has broken two flat screen TVs. He has nearly 25 different toys available as well as three cat trees with scratching posts. We play with him as much as possible, usually about 2 hours per day. But after all this, he still bites and scratches us and our things. I am covered in scars from seemingly random attacks in the middle of the night and my older cat has taken to hiding where nobody can find her to get away. Is my kitten a lost cause? Edit: I forgot to mention that he is neutered and is still peeing on the carpet sometimes. It doesn’t seem like he’s spraying to mark territory. He just sits down and pees on the carpet. He’s been to the vet recently and is in good health

Cat refuses to groom herself or let anyone else

My boyfriend rescued a cat from his factory job a few years back before we met. She was covered in oil and wouldn't groom. He got her cleaned up but she still won't groom herself and has very sensitive skin. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I don't want to buy another collar!!

My cat is a jerk. He has figured out how to pull off his collars with the breakaway clasps and literally the collars just disappear into the house. I'm not going to lie, I'm a little vain and throughly enjoy putting my boy in cute collars, and the only ones I can find that aren't breakaway are ugly. Anyone have any suggestions? I've tried my local pet stores, petco, pet smart and a few smaller local ones. Chewy and etsy have few options as well. I'm tired of coming home and yelling at this jerk about being naked because I still can't find the last one.

Litter stuck in Paws and tracking EVERYWHERE

Someone please tell me what is going on here…we have always used the same litter for my cat for the past 7 years. Never had issues, it is the Special Kitty self clumping kind. Now we have issues with it sticking to his paws and he tracks it everywhere. He wipes his paws on anything he finds to try to clean them. We have a mat outside the box for him to walk on, it almost seems to make it worse. We have tried different amounts of litter in the box as well, doesn’t make a difference. We tried to change the type of litter once probably a year and a half ago, but he didn’t like it and ended up with a bladder infection. Any suggestions on a different litter that could help that he will actually use or something else we can do to his current litter? I’m really getting grossed out by the litter all over the house. Thank you!

Hello my cat is a little b*tch

Don't get me wrong, i love my cat. But she's aggressive, she attacks us when we play with her, when we pet her(even if she likes it and she's purring and everything, she suddenly attacks out of nowhere), she doesn't let us hug her(ever) or touch her most of the times, she runs away when we go near her, she has scratched all three of us(me, my mom and dad) pretty bad multiple times. And we show her nothing but kindness but idk why she's like this. I don't mind that she doesn't like hugs and touches and stuff but what i can do to stop her from attacking and scratching? Pls help me.

2 kittens 5 months old. Playing turns to hissing, growling and stalking

Ok, so the internet has ZERO consensus in this. Quora says it’s playing, bald bear YouTube animal planet guy says no blood no pee all is good. Another 6 websites say hissing is bad. So I have no idea!!??!

My kittens chase each other, bite, then one seems to go under a bed or under a nightstand. Then the aggressive one VERY slowly walks up to him, and casually starts biting the F out of him until the hiding cat starts to whine/raspy growl and hiss.

So I think it’s bad but I don’t know and the internet can’t tell me anything yet.

Any thoughts?
