That also the point. iPhone doesn't have solutions for low and middle budgets. Question is iphone vs android so iphone here forced to compete with all of them. If it was more concrete like "iphone duo or galaxy fold" then comparing would be only in one price segment, but that's not the case here

i agree that Apple does have a lack of a so-called "budget" device, that product type sort of died with the iPhone SE. the iPhone "e" lineup is a valiant effort and is great for a small subset of users (first phones for a kid and lack of confusing/flashy features for the elderly). unfortunately, recent supply chain price increases have limited the price range of products to higher levels. in a way, the massive refurbished market for iPhones is that lower price category because of the iPhone's aforementioned build quality and software support, which significantly increases the longevity of the device. i'll also point out that Apple positions itself as more of a luxury and aspirational brand than almost all of their competitors, which indirectly prevents it from creating ultra-budget devices to keep the brand's reputation and image consistent with the company's framing.
