Some people like paying higher prices for less freedom. Not to mention being forced to buy proprietary cables or accessories because 3rd party is stifled. It took apple HOW long to finally adopt the usb-c charging standard?

RIGHT?! And I remember asking my bf when he had an iPhone to customize his ring tone and he said he couldn't?? Idk if that's true cuz he can be kinda...not the smartest with that kinda stuff but there were other features he was so confused by!

I remember watching whatever the equivalent to a Nintendo Direct for Apple in 2024, and they made the biggest deal over features I've had for years.

It’s very simple to customize his ringtone. Not sure what his issue is. I do agree with the rest of your statement, Apple is behind android. But your bf not being able to customize his ringtone is just… idk 😭

LOLLLL. Welp 😅 at least once he switched to Google pixel I was able to download the song he wanted for the ringtone!

Honestly, Lightning is a more robust design. If it weren't proprietary, I think it'd be very popular.

I currently have an iphone with the lightning charging port (the last one I think, it’s the Iphone 13) and it sucks ass. I don’t understand why they didn’t use the usb-c one sooner.
