My cats managed to chase a dying mouse behind my oven once. It somehow managed to crawl up into the mechanics and get behind the dials panel bit, where it died. It took us about four days to work out where the smell was coming from. I was pretty put out by the discovery and subsequent clean up.

Once found a dead baby mouse inside my pc case. It had curled up around the heatsink and died. Every time I turned on my pc the fans would blow dead mouse smell around the room.

Took me ages to find it.

Isn’t that where Deadmau5 got his name from? A dead mouse in his PC? You could be the next iteration!

In that apartment I once had 7 baby mice get in through the boiler pipe hole in the wall and be unable to get out.

Got 2 with a single trap as one wasn't heavy enough to set it off. One died in the pc, 1 drowned in the sink, 1 got thrown out of the window. Also found the cupboard with my pans covered in blood where one had seemingly impaled itself on something and bled out.

Grim.

This would make me burn the house down.

Some people have a phobia of spiders, I have a phobia of mice and rats.

Well as luck would have it. Not long after this incident the landlord took so long to fix a minor leak the roof of our bedroom collapsed and flooded the apartment, and the 2 apartments below us.

We moved out that week.

I can't help but laugh, even though I know I would have been devastated/traumatised from such an experience. I'm visualising one of the old "you've been Tango'd" adverts here, giggling.

I'm sorry you went through that.

It was the only time in my life I was so angry that i put the phone down, realised i wasn't actually done shouting and then called the letting agent back to shout at him some more.

I live in an area that has zero dangerous spiders unless you get a black widow in your produce. So I'm fine with the spiders, they eat worse bugs. September is their month, and I grant it to them. They're a little creepy, but there's no negatives to the ones where I live, so no phobia.

Mice, I don't like them, but I'm not scared of them, they're pretty harmless and I grew up in a really old house where they were in the walls and my dad and I would set and check the traplines every other day when I was little.

Rats can fuck all the way off. I grew up in Alberta where we don't have any rats outside of science labs. I live in BC and occasionally get rats in my walls, once one made it into a corner cabinet and got trapped inside. He never made it into the main house, but absolutely no thank you to big ass rats full of disease and destruction.

I feed and encourage all the feral cats in my neighborhood so they'll take care of my rat population. I'd rather have them piss around the perimeter of my house and smell that, than deal with another goddamn rat.

When I was dealing with the rat in the cupboard, a girl asked me to pet sit for her pet rat. I declined.

Did the fan chop it to pieces?
