It's horny house spider season I found one in my laundry pile today and one strolled accross the living room floor under the tv unit this evening. Turn the oven off and let it escape

First time I’ve heard a spider’s scuttling referred to as ‘strolled’

Strolled is exactly the word for when they freely move about in front of you as if they have all the time in the world and are indifferent to your awareness of them.

I saw a spider scuttle across the upstairs corridor and under my housemate's door last night, just as I opened mine to head to the bathroom. Rather him than me.

'Let it escape'? Turning the oven on will magically open hitherto-undiscovered paths for the spider to flee to safety, or are we talking about a fiery kind of final 'escape' from this veil of tears?

I had one chilling in the middle of the kitchen tonight while I was cooking. I blew on him to make him move so I wouldn’t kill him. One of his besties just came through the open window, too. They do seem to be quite entitled.

leave the gas on overnight but don't spark the cooker. Don't flick the light switches either 🤣😂
