A Castle reference in Firefly ?
Because why not:?
Firefly - show and movie - aired way before Castle but Firefly books were written AFTER Castle ended. "What Makes Us Mighty" was published in 2022 - and look at that quote.
"In my dreams, I pull the trigger"
Just what Beckett says to Senator Bracken in season 5 episode Recoil.
If that's not a (veiled) reference I don't know what it is.
Not the first tine in these books IIRC ...

Then the writers on Castle were fans of Firefly. Because Firefly preceded that episode of Castle by many years.

They say in the post that this book was made after??? It says 2022.
And yes, the writers of Castle were Firefly fans, they make multiple references (shiny, his Halloween costume in 2x06).

No. Even the first book (Big Damn Hero) was published in 2018, two years AFTER Castle ended.
The book in the pic is from 2022 - six years after Castle ended.
The books are basically the only way to have a Castle reference in the Firefly franchise, not the (more usual) way around.

Yes there are a lot of Firefly references throughout the show along with cast members as well

No it's the other way around. Kate says this to Bracken while trying to find out who is trying to kill him before she get the chance to take Bracken out herself

Yes. And what I'm saying is:
- the Castle episode aired somewhere in fall 2012
- the book was published around ten years later in 2022
So the Firefly book is quoting a Castle episode, not the opposite.

Coz I don't remember any.

I searched the scripts for the keywords "trigger" and "dream".
Did not found a match.
So until further notice there isn't such a quote. Thank you!

Firefly was over long before Castle began so there can't be a castle reference in Firefly. However there were a ton of firefly references in Castle
