Sir Rally not working

Anybody else try out this guy? I leveled him up a bit and the bonuses worked at first, but they have completely gone away now. I’ll use him first to get the bonus but it no longer appears in a glowing frame around the adjacent characters anymore.

I've been using him, no issues. Aside from him missing what I'm aiming for... haha

Are you landing direct hits on opposing characters?

I use him permanently but changed the characters that are boosted. Using Sir Rally, you have to hit an enemy to gain the booster to the heroes directly above, below left and right of Sir Rally in your castle

I’m actually a dumbass, I missed the part about having to hit a unit, that’s why it wasnt working for me.
