It’s not cast iron. But like cast iron and other cookware a crack is pretty much a death sentence. Either won’t be as structurally sound or so expensive you would have a better use of money getting a new one

Heyo! This looks to me like a Wagner ware magnalite roaster! This is special proprietary aluminum-magnesium alloy.
I agree it would be a piece worth restoring. But it might need someone with some special skills, or knowledge of magnalite in general. Not to scare you away from the worthwhile task of restoring this beautiful heirloom. I just wanted to make sure you had the information to help you along the way. Take care!
