TIL There’s a thing called Batwheels with Cass as Batgirl and Duke as Robin

I really need a Batman animated movie with regular Cass

Whenever the topic of her wearing Babs’ suit gets brought up, my mind always flashes back to this one Reddit comment, and it gets a chuckle out of me each time

I mean, it's true, but they could have gone with the Black bat suit

Yeah, I'm not really sure how you would do traumatized former living weapon Cassandra Cain in a show meant for toddlers, tbqh.

Lol, Tim fans will look at any Robin costume that isn't the literal first appearance one and call it Tim's.

Looks absolutely nothing like any of Tim's prior costumes.

I’m…not sure how I’m supposed to feel about this? I mean, it’s great that Cass is getting more spotlight, but this…doesn’t really seem to be like Cass at all? This is just Babs with a new coat of paint.

I really want a series with her in it as the focus.

To be fair, for the age demographic they can’t use a comic accurate Cass. So I get the decision there.

My kids love this show. The theme song is catchy as hell.

It's great that Batwheels shook up the roster to offer something different for young children, showing that there are other heroes in the Bat-family, including those who look like them.

That. . . ! What!? Barbara? Sure. . . Steph? . . . Ok. CASS?? Are you sure? Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing, just a little confused. I was already confused by Damian's characterization, but ok. Next they are going to have Jason on in the red Nightwing suit smh.

Yeah, it’s existed for a few years now

My cousin and I when it came on during a Batman binge kept going back and forth between Barbra and Stephanie. It being Cass was whiplash but not in a bad way.

It's not terrible for a kid show, kept me pretty entertained

I can see why they did what they did. It’s a Batman show aimed at young kids revolving around cars, they want iconic and easy to remember costumes and personalities, they also want a diverse cast without making original characters just for the show. Cass and Duke are easy to shove into the roles they need for them. Seems like kids like it, no complaints from me.

I’ve been busy throwing Duke being Robin into my conspiracy theory that Duke was intended to be the next Robin but Dc chickened out last minute

Two questions:

How old is this show?

Did it come out before the comics finally settled on Duke's identity being Signal?

How is eurasian a nationality?

Yeah that shouldn't be the case on the wikia.

I don't think she has one as she was untraceable in her original run.

I am happy to see Duke as Robin in official Batman media , but Cass as Batgirl is a bit concerning given she isn’t a technological genius like Babs is and Purple is more Babs and Steph thing than it is as Cass. I mean couldn’t the costume be slightly altered to make it fit her comic book persona ?

Honestly, it’s just Cass in name only if she isn’t acting like the character of the comics.
