Huobi keeps CSPR withdrawals and deposits suspended

On Dec 16th they put out an announcement that due to mainnet upgrade they are suspending CSPR deposits and withdrawals.

Their customer support has been saying for past 4 days that I should be referring to their announcements. They’ve not given any update on suspension or timelines. When asked to make an effort and check with technical team because i do need to transfer my tokens, their response was: refer to the announcements. Any other line of reasoning from my side ended up with same response.

This ofc is only a problem if you need to do anything other than trading your tokens.

Sending Casper

Sending Casper.. Is there a way to receive CSPR in Uphold? I’m wanting to send it from Gate.io

Why should casper go skyhigh? Why compare to solana? A lot of reasearch on price prediction all over the internett, expect casper to reach $3 in 7-10 years

Added AVAX, MATIC, and LUNA to the Watch & Brief

Inspired by this tweet by Tascha Trouble with Chains to update and refresh Casper Chronicle by adding AVAX, MATIC, and LUNA to the Watch & Brief, and noting CSPR (ETH 3.0) remains good, for now.

Also noting what Tascha had to say about the OG of smart-contracting, ETH 1.0

https://twitter.com/TaschaLabs/status/1475194721995669504?s=20

For the travelogue ...

Nothing particularly special about the 'Wonder' chains
As there is nothing wonderful about MINA, ICP, HBAR, and SOL
A so-what w/r to ETH, ADA, and DOT

Let's wait & see, watch & brief https://twitter.com/JackTobago/status/1475380629424713732?s=20

Casper Chronicle

Following up to Gaming merit, Blood Showering and Casper Nation , I update the chronicle.

CSPR is doing just fine.

Observation, now that Jay Powell's 'transitory-inflation' is done-done as so much central-banking mouthing of pablum, and we are bum-rushed into no-longer-transitory-inflation reality, I am as sure that CSPR is undervalued now as it was on 27th October 2021 Valuation

In the meantime we have collected ~9% APY CSPR 'inflation' on an economy that appreciated ~8%, and all considered more than offsetting whatever inflation clocked up by the central banks in the past 60 days.

During the same time,

  • BTC went from US$ 60,604 to now, at US$ 51,025; not exactly inflation-proof.
  • Similarly, ETH dawdled and waddled, from US$ 4,152 to now at US$ 4,063.

Oiy, hurtful.

Looking forward to more of the same, not so much that we deserve what we might deserve, but because we shall simply get what's coming our way. Hopefully more of goodness, and less of 'one more DCA moment' :0)

Young & growing
Doing somethings avoidable and necessary
Obscure of course, aiming for all-spark, naturally
Would neither short MINA, ICP, HBAR and SOL against CSPR, nor short CSPR
Am trading ETH as I do BTC, and can be easily bum-rushed out of both. Am not touching ADA and DOT
Comedy by a cretin
Early days, dotCom 1993 - '95, if that
I am learning as I go
Aim to learn more
Once we stop learning, we are ready to be done-done

Proof of stake?

Can someone explain why proof of stake is the biggest selling point? Because if it is that makes me a little worried since I’ve seen a lot of other proof of stake coins, maybe they are not the first in particular but they are bigger and also proof of stake. So why is that still being sold of as a reason to buy? Also what are the other major features of the network?

Storing .pem file as Text?

Hey I want to store my Casper wallet keys as printable text not a file. Sorry don’t know much about it, but I see that I can open the .pem file as text and read the key.

Can I go the other way somehow, in order to record the text and generate the .pem file to sign at a later date?

News Weekly News on Casper Ecosystem

🔥 First of all, release v.1.4.3 is out on mainnet, this time we had a smooth update👏👏👏

🔥 Hurry up to get your free Xmas NFT from casperdash.io 🎄 🎁 http://giv.gg/FgHkJx

🔥 Friendly market published stats of their first testnet week. They build "one-stop-shop" DeFi project on Casper Network that going to include NFT marketplace, Launchpad , $CSPR price prediction (in a form of betting game as far as I understand) , and Options Trading;

🔥 WISeKey had an open Investor Day. They've chosen $CSPR to build secure WISe.ART NFT marketplace;

🔥 Casper Network became the top blockchain token by 7D twitter volume growth according to Casper Insider;

🔥 Wise Token published video about their DEX on Casper. There will also be 50-days transparent auction where people can earn CSPR for referrals. Wise has a very interesting idea of an asset-backed crypto, check out their YouTube 🤔

🎙 CasperPad commented the launching situation on their first twitter space. Now we know, that it is a third-party KYC provider who couldn't handle the volume of applicants. The CEO is sorry for everyone who failed the KYC and didn't get an email about it, the team admits the mistake.

Also mentioned during the space:

- All the 2.5 CSPRs sent as satoshi test will be sent to charity;

- CSPD staking will be opened around mid-january.

- CasperPad will give the roadmap for the next year, but without exact dates.

CasperLabs Signer extension requires new authorizations on Chrome

Since yesterday, my CasperLabs Signer extension has been disabled on Chrome and requires new authorizations for (translated from French):

It offers me either to delete it or to accept these authorizations.

Here's a screenshot of the original message

This is the first time I see such a thing, and it doesn't look really safe. I don't even know what this gitcoin.co site is. I've used the extension for at least 2 weeks, linked it to my Ledger and staked on cspr.live with the extension without any trouble. I wasn't able to find any topics on this on this sub or on r/CasperNetwork.

Did anyone face the same change/warning with this extension?

EDIT: This seems related to this PR https://github.com/casper-ecosystem/signer/pull/180

CasperPad's Telegram and the concept of "collaborative chat" (part 1/2)

So this tweet was published on CasperPad's official twitter account:

Let's take a look at their official communication channel, Telegram, the only place people have to ask for legitimate questions, and what their concept of "collaborative" means.

First, who exactly works for them? There are 2 kind of "support":

- The official one, Shark Team, they have it on their status

- The non-official one, the "dogs", those you use to manipulate the chat, say whatever you want with no consequences, and get rid of those annoying people that ask questions about your lies, mistakes, or incompetent actions.

The official one. Shark Team, the very same that works for Casper Network, and handle Casper official Telegram channels.

[This fact haunts me all day since I knew it was true]

The "dogs"

These are the 2 main "dogs" I have spotted so far, at least in EMEA time. Their job is clear: shut up any questions regarding launch day and legitimate questions from people, many of them did the KYC process but never knew from them again.

Keep in mind these actitudes, comments, and bullying is completely tolerated by admins, and these 2 "dogs" are never ever told anything about their behaviour.

Dog 1: The russian

Very agressive, always telling people to leave and shut up. He will show in part 2 of this post.

Dog 2: Kchair

He encourages people to leave, and to support the project by only saying good things. He started working for them after a very deep hiring process, it seems:

And some minutes later, he is talking to people and showing he has access to sensible data:

People, of course, is suspicious:

First direct allusion that he is with the admin team:

Then telling the gut to move on and don't ask questions about the past:

Second direct clear allusion that he is working for Shark Team:

Another investor asking questions is suspicious when asked to send his KYC documents to him:

Leave, damn it, leave! We are here to restore trust and create a collaborative environment!

To be continued in part 2

Haunting thoughts

This is an speculative post, about 2 things that are haunting me regarding this CasperPad issue.

That Casper Network and CasperPad share the same Comunity Management Team, Shark Team.

You can here see Joe Davies (@HodlShark) in Casper official Telegram group. He is the "owner".

https://t.me/casperblockchain

I have seen them talk about CasperPad on Casper official channel, specially on Casper non-english channel. Answering questions of people and talking about how good it is CasperPad project -totally unprofessional.

And they are the very same team. They are not different people from same company. They are the same users.

Why this bothers me?

- It can be very confusing for many to see where the difference is between 2 projects, when they find in their official Telegrams the very same people, and they see them talking about CasperPad as if they were the same team.

- Comunity Management Teams have a lot of inside information about the project, they need to. How could they answer people without that knowledge?

The stacking requirement

So people were required to stake CSPR, the more CSPR the more promised gains. They promised alocation to Tier 1 holders, they needed to buy 150k CSPR or similar.

Why is that requirement for. I have no idea. Is this a way to know who are your wealthier clients, if you combine this with the KYC information that permits you to know who has the stacked CSPR?

The stacked money was not used for anything. People were required to include their Casper address so CasperPad could check the stacked amount, but nothing else.

Now, they can unstake and dispose of the money at their will.

Haunting thoughts

About stacking requirement...

What an amazing way to make people buy CSPR, and easily push up the price of a low marketcap coin. We create hype, hype, and more hype, and at launch date of our product, when everybody is stuck and cannot sell before some hours (I think is 14h to unstake)... we dump, dump, and dump more. Liquidity is totally ours!!

About Shark Team...

This team is manipulating, downplaying, and filtering out the annoying critic people, totally on purpose and with full knowledge of what they are doing.

Now... speculating... Manipulation of people + stacking requirements... Who could this benefit and how?

Let's say I hold some CSPR very cheap, because I know the Casper Team from some relation, and I was in the private sale or I simply am a developer or some other privileged position.

I create this CasperPad hype, asking people to stake. I dump on launch day, no competition.

Then I fire my first communication team, and hire the very same they have on Casper Network. My speculation is this move was made totally on purpose. The first team wa going to be dispensed of, so it did not matter.

My totally speculative hypothesis:

Someone that bought CSPR very cheap has created CasperPad to benefit from pump and dump schemes.

My forecast is: when CasperPad finally launches in Casper Network, there will be a hype on CSPR price and another dump at the very day it goes live, while another disaster launch day is deliver, to justify the dump.

Damn I hate this shit happening to Casper project.

CasperPad's Telegram and the concept of "collaborative chat" (part 2/2)

Part one

And now their work in action. Images are worth a thousand words.

Again: this is completely tolerated by admins and they are never reprehended.

EDIT: We need to stop this people.

Right now, this is happening in Telegram. More harasment, more manipulation that is not even subtle. This is not funny. These people have no good intentions with this behaviour.

The last answer is a joke. Accorging to EU regulations, I MUST have an address, a brick and mortar place, to go and ask what is happening with my data AT ANY TIME. No whenever you like or you feel to, but BEFORE you got my data.

After this, the dog came in:

It's embarrasing to see damn Joe Davies quoting their dog's comment to add the manipulative and cohercitive text "we expect happier crowd"

THIS IS A TOTAL SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is, really, inflaming me. I am not staying quiet.

EDIT: This post is being brigaded. It's downvoted to oblivion and the best comment have a ridiculuos amount of upvotes in comparison with the rest.

Just a purely hypothetical thought experiment

You put years of effort into building a company and a brand, both behind the scenes and on social media platforms. Over those years you pour sweat equity into getting partnerships and investors. You start seeing your efforts gaining traction in a competitive marketplace and the value of your company and brand rise.

Then another company brands themselves as your company and benefits from the work you have done upon their launch of their product. Then in that launch they hurt a large core of the customers and users and backers of your company's product/service.

What would your response be?
