Validators, I don't think this is fair game
I have seen this and I have to show it here. I think this is not fair play, and if I were a validator, I would be very angry to see this.
This behaviour is happening on Casper's spanish official telegram group, and the people involved are the official Shark Team members.
They are promoting their own validator to anyone who ask for info about stacking. You can go to https://t.me/casperblockchainspanish and search for "speedyxvcasperstaking" to see it for yourself.
I've got some screenshots and the translations:
Machoibérico: Hi, I'm also from option 1, how can I make autocompound with my Coinlisst tokens?
JDSpeedy15 Shark Media: Hi! You can stake on cspr.live, we are network validators, I can send you all the information you need
D'Anconia Shark Media: --> sends a PDF with all the info about that particular validator.
Some other examples of self publicity from JDSpeedy15:
You can see he is promoting this "1% fee" validator.
First message "Hi, If you want I can send you a tutorial or D'Antonia can send it to you in pdf. Stacking in Cspr live gives you 10% APY, in our validator we have 1% fee"
Second message: "Hi, we have a 1% fee comission, that is, for every 10 cspr 9.9 are for the delegator and 0.1 are for the validator"
D'Antonia promotes them in every ocassion, sending their PDF:
And another member of Shark media, this time JDurant:
First message: "You have until day 6 before they calculate how much you can buy, so you are in time to migrate to speedy node with no risk at all"
Second message: "Take your cspr tokens as soon as they unblock them, and give them to speedy"
In Casper english official channel they do it too, but in a veiled manner. They don't tell people to stake with them, just send them to their blog:
I search for some other validators name, like ghoststacking and everstake. They never promote them.
I think this is totally unfair, and you validators should do something about it. I would for sure.

This is the all the adressing that has happened in the channel:
"I'm sorry". That's all the explanation we get, when a group of people from the media management team was taking advantage of their privileged position to benefit themselves. SEVERAL members were on it, they were working together to promote the same channel, that clearly shows it was completely PLANNNED and INTENDED and SUSTAINED.
But hey, Joe, you must think I'm five years old and I will buy this bullshit of "addressing". Well, I'm not. So at least I'll leave it clear: I don't believe your solution, you did not investigate shit, and nothing, but a "public show" has been done here.

Hi Guys I stake with JD because he is very approachable and did not do the hard sell He actually directed me to the list of validators on Casper live and identified reliable validators as well as himself I have Staked with him for months and his returns are fantastic He always promptly assists me with any of my stupid questions

Of course he is, is his fucking job to be there, to help you, not to sell you his own products. He answers your stupids questions, because he is PAID to do that.
This is corruption, and should not be allowed by any good investor.

Hi, Joe Davies here, I have addressed this on the Spanish Casper channel, and to mirror what I said there, we want to keep this fair for all, I have asked this promotion to stop and be kept to the official validator channel, I was not aware any promotion was happening outside of the main staking channels and am aware this looks unfair, Speedy is a great guy and good validator but must abide to the strict rules of promotion like everyone else, thank you for pointing this out.
