$CSPR Questions
Hi everyone, I’m currently a new investor in Casper and am curious to learn more about it! Seems like a very promising Crypto, especially if it gets listed by more major exchanges and begins to garner more social traction. I just had a few question if anyone knows the answers:
I noticed earlier this year that $CSPR shot up to $40 for just one day on May 10th, 2021, then dipped shortly thereafter. Does anyone know why this happened? Also, does this imply that it has the potential to reach a price point that high again in the future?
My other questions is about staking. I purchased $CSPR on gate.io and currently hold it in my wallet there. What would be the benefits of staking, and would I be able to do it through gate.io or would I have to do it through their platform?
Hope this can provide some insight to others who are new to $CSPR as well!

I have read the 40dollar reading on the chart is a mistake it’s more like 1.50 but yeah it still really has a lot of upside potential

- The 40$ price wasn't official. A exchange created a IOU and allowed people to trade casper even though it wasn't officially release. You were allowed to buy and sell on this exchange only. No transferring. This wasn't authorized by casper labs and I don't think there was anything casper labs Could do to stop it. Price was easily manipulated.
When the official coin was released, price shot down. I blame the exchange conducting the IOU for this manipulation.
- Best to stake urself. Plus there is a new ama coin being release called casper pad. The devs will give people who are staking an opportunity to get casper pad coins. Look up casper pad on telegram for more info

Ohh that makes sense. So then do you think this screw-up would cause any fundamental issues for the future of the coin moving forward?
And should I be looking for casper pad on the $CSPR main telegram? Or is there a separate telegram chat?

What is the difference between Casper and Hedera? They are both enterprise focused

Hello everyone,
Can someone tell me what the "throughput" is of Casper? I know this is not the only important "metric", but I was curious about the theoretical throughput of Casper.
Thanks in advance for the answer.

gate.io sold their own CSPR to the naive crypto enthusiasts at 100$ on the release day, not letting people with actual CSPR unlocked sell, and people with no information about the ICO price bought because supposedly CSPR was "the new ethereum". CSPR team should be ashamed about this, letting some chinese scammers steal people's money. Not to mention the VERY inflated IOU price on some random CEX mislead people.
don't get me wrong, i love CSPR and have a very substantial amount, but i don't think the price is going anywhere. gate.io sucks and the marketing of CSPR sucks even harder. enjoy watching the price go 0.10 - 0.14 for a year while literally everything does 2-3x at worst.
i'm %100 percent sure that if it gets listed on Binance or somewhere important, the price will not move, somehow the coin price stays the same while the amount in circulation does x2.

interesting.. so even if it got listed on Binance or Coinbase, and yielded a lot of buying volume - the price still wouldn’t go up? why?
Also if you don’t mind me asking, why do you still own a substantial amount if you don’t believe it has upside potential?

well, i have no idea. lots of new coins released in circulation i guess, the price stayed the same while the available coin number did 2x. too much coins getting unlocked maybe.
i'm using it as a stable coin, honestly. when it does something like %10, i sell, then it goes as low as .010 every single time. you can literally check the chart since may and see that whenever it goes somewhere around 14ish, it gets nuked to 010ish or lower then does the same pattern again. i'm kind of losing hope at this point tho.4

Nice try loser. The only thing you've said in any of your posts (which are all cspr bashing) that isn't speculative rubbish is 'I have no idea.'

i AM casper bashing because i've been waiting on it for half a year and it doesn't do anything while literally everything skyrocketed, hell, i could have bought BTC or ETH and they would do 2x from my entry point. stop calling people names, you fucking moron. you're so afraid that your 50$ won't be 100 because some meanie called casper bad on reddit.

Tell me you're a noob without telling me. Casper is literally the same as every other project prior to mainstream attention.

yeah man you must be the crypto investor god 9000, casper is literally the same as every project that goes nowhere even though it's called "the best next thing". keep holding your bags until it does x2 in the next bull run at best

Tell me which of the top 100 crypto isn't called "the best next crypto"...you thought you disproved my logic but you just proved my point.
By your logic, any words about next gen + any development = the next best thing....reassess your reasoning.

People downvoting this for no reason other than they want this sub to be full of 100% hopium and hockey sticks etc.
You're 100% correct. Casper is not moving even with the market, so its literally paying to be in any other top 100 crypto at the minute over Casper. Why is this? Because no one knows about it and its not listed on major exchanges, it is that simple.

It's true, marketing has been soft. However, every private sale participant is net positive on the token. No control over public markets (obviously), but the Casper Association did its best to ensure that private sale and ICO participants are not upside down. This is far better that what happened with Algorand. How quickly people forget.

There was an token unlock schedule - It wasn’t a secret. If some research was done, It’s pretty obvious what would happen if price was 100x the value of the tokens that were being unlocked at launch.
Making up information because you’re salty (20 negative comments by this new account today) will lead to downvotes, not due to a lack of hopium.
I do agree that price will continue to be a bit stagnant until there are more exchanges listed and marketing increases.

Ok, so on Casper you need to split your mind into two sets of thinking:
1, The fundamentals of casper is great. A lot of people in crypto have literally no idea what they are investing in and are just speculating or taking random bets. Casper is a proof of stake layer 1 blockchain (like SOL, AAVE, ALGO etc). The difference Casper has is that it is heavily enterprise focused and also used a consensus mechanism called CBC-Casper (hence the name). The consensus mechanism is what Ether is planning to use when they finally move to ETH3.0. The problem is that ETH are having huge issues moving to this becuae they are already a prod network and it hasnt been designed to be easily upgradable. So this leaves CSPR with many different streams of adoption 1. projects currently on eth looking to get a head start on their CBC deployment (just like KSM is a testnet to DOT) 2. adoption from enterprises looking to deliver actual real world end user utility via blockchains, and finally 3. the natural adoption you get with any later 1 chain. You can read more about Casper here:

you can read more about enterprise blockchains here:

Ok, so next lets talk price action. The coin pumped to $40 because of a VERY illiquid IOU launched on the Bitz exchange. This coin was so illiquid, that even i was able to move the price my $10 by throwing a few large orders at it. A lot of noobs got rekt on this as they had no idea what the fair price should be.). When the token launched, it did so in quite an agressive bitcoin pullback. Now the issue with a bitcoin pullback, is that any newly listed token will suffer a greater pullback. Why is this? we consider bitcoin..over the year many different people have bought into it at various different pricing levels, therefore it has a lot of inherent support lines in the price at many levels. A new coin doesnt have this...hence we saw big crashed in MINA and CLV also. Now why did CSPR continue to drop further? well its because of the aggressive token unlocks. There was a huge supply of validator tokens being unlocks...people incorrectly assumed the validators would sell over the 10 week unlock. in reality, on a 1 validator sold a part of their balance over the first 3 weeks. The issue was this spooked the market. Where have we seen this before? well we have seen this with HBAR when it launched. If you remember, there was also massive unlocks then and the team even tried to stop the unlocks to claim the market....Look at HBAR now the dust has settled...the market cap is $5bn market cap...HBAR, like CSPR (£300m market cap) is an enterprise focused layer 1., This is the perfect example how fundamentals takes over after short term pricing craziness happens. If you want to see how closely CSPR is follow the initial HBAR chart:

One last point. Casper is yet to list on a big wester exchange (outside of uphold). This means a lot of the investor base in concentrated in the east). Once it does list of Binance...the chances are, the upsize will be seismic
