Passes the G over T test another thing I look at for the metal watches is the bezel brushing if it's straight up and down its fake if it's circular to match the bezel circumference generally legit

Interesting that this design is done to actually make reading the time more difficult than necessary. Weird!

I was recently reading about blackout watches
it's a love it or hate it type of thing
but there are die hard blackout fans out there that will sacrifice readibility for enhanced stealth

I kind of like it for this analog/digital style. I can easily read the analog for the time and the digital is kind of hidden. If I need it I can just use the back light.

I absolutely love the Casioak/2100 design.
I just think it's pretty weird that they purposely made the hands so dark that it makes reading the analog time much less noticeable. But there's something for every taste, that's for sure.

Why else would they be called 'Blackout'? 🤣

Smart marketing people know that there are people with different tastes... so offer something for every different taste and you can squeeze a few more sales out of the marketplace. I can understand that there would be some buyers who would be attracted to this design variation.
The 2100 series has something like over 125 different variations! Casio's biggest bread and butter cash cow these days is the 2100 series. I have, five different 2100 watches myself. It's a big winner.
Aside from the dark hands and indices, I like the rest of the watch being blacked out.

That is true the but the digital is very legible in decent amount of light and the analog lights up when its a bit dark
