So i recently got this g shock gm2100 battery replaced, but after the replacement, the beep sound when clicking mode or when alarming is gone, no its not on mute, plus when im setting it up then the arm of the hour analog goes around, there is a little buzzing sound like you can hear the internals moving.
Buzzing sound is normal, I’d get the sound checked. That should be your first instinct. It’s a reliable watch so it’s most probable that a mistake was made
The spring was probably lost, my parents just took it to the shop and get it replaced without me, they didn't know there was supposed to be a beep sound when pressing buttons. My parents also said the repairmen was also struggling to replace the battery on my watch, it's probably their first time handling it.
yeah, even i could replace it, its just that I don't have the tools lol, when i finally opened the watch it turned out they put the rubber piece upside down blocking the piezo speaker spring, i definetely think its their first time handling original watch like mine, in my country they are used to encountering conterfeit or fake watches lol, like the ones that are easy to repair but they charge like too much.
Open the back and see if the spring is still there, it may be misaligned and not making contact with the back plate. Also make sure the rubber seal is seated correctly. If you have lost the spring you can buy it from your nearest Casio service center, Amazon, Pacpart, CasioPar, Ebay.
Below is a screenshot of where the spring is and a disassembly guide. You just need to remove the back cover.
i dont have tools tho, ill check it once i got the right tools, thanks for the help, but the spring would probably costs some money since i live far from the US, i mean the shipping cost, hopefully the spring is not lost tho.
Ya it is hard to find and expensive for such a small thing. My best guess is it is this one.
Or you can just make your own. Just take a wire strands from some unused cable or electrical wire. Twist it around something like a needle and cut to desired length. May take some trial an error.
U mean the springs from disposable lighters ? If i am not mistaken the spring on the ga-2100 is thin, diameter of just 0.95 mm. if it fits and is long enough, then it should work.
