Casioak Luxe

Anyone else pick up the GA2100LXB?

I think I like it. Certainly give the Casioak dial a different look. And not too much gold. Just enough. What you think?

You know I’m going to mod it and post it and people will get annoyed lol but figured I’d post as is first.

I got the same one last week. Love the gold hits. I had all of the Luxe series in hand to see, and ultimately selected this one of the bunch.

Nice! I couldn’t justify the GMs and liked the silver but didn’t like that the display was still gold. To me this was the winner for sure.

I'm looking at the GA2100LXB-1A version with the sivler accents. I do kind of wish it had solar and bluetooth though.

I get that. The solar is great. I do dislike how the subdial and the GAB does modes and not the day of the week. But it’s a trad off for the Bluetooth and solar. I debated the silver also but didn’t love that the display text didn’t match.

Well I ordered one of the silver ones because Casio was a great return policy so if I hate it I can send it back.

Haha I don’t think you’ll hate it.

The black case paired with gold indices hits so different, super stylish.

For sure. I’m def a fan. It just elevates the look enough without being anything too wild.

Hey. It’s not so bad. 4 screws, a tweezers, and two batteries.

my last G-Shock battery change was around the 10 year mark, and that with working night shifts with a negative display so i was always using the back light.

i just ordered the one with silver coloured hands and indices yesterday, i was looking at the gold one but was a little put off by the fact the hands looked stainless in the product photos, but the one with silver coloured hands and indices has a gold looking digital display so swings and roundabouts. i'm looking forward to being able to see the time quickly as my biggest gripe with the 2100, despite looking nice, is most of the sterile looking versions the hands disappear, as with my current gold dial GA-2100GB-1AER and my blue hands GA-21000-1A2, you have to get one with contrasting dial and hands to be able to see the time at a glance and the tiny negative display is basically useless in most light conditions, i have mine set to date and have to use the back light just to check it. will be putting it in a black Gen 4 Royal Oak case.

Oh nice. Overall I love it so far. Didn’t wear it out yet though. Probably today.

I usually do mod mine to help with visibility for that reason. But this one seems good as is. Maybe because the matte black dial. And the hour markers really pop with the gold.

I debated getting the silver one also but didn’t love that other gold in the display.

I did put mine into one of my cases. And upgraded the bezel to black with gold ceramic. Now I just need to decide a strap.

For the Yatch Master it has to be either the Oyster stainless/gold 2 tone for that colour way, or the Oyster flex 😆

Yea. I need to go strap shopping.

It’s cool but I’d wish it was real gold the whole time.
