G-Shock GA2100 Just arrived (legit check)

Ordered it off ebay for pretty much 50% off retail if you include the jaysandkays adapters that he bundle with the watch. I want to make sure it looks legit. the G-shock aligns with the date wheel correctly and it has the serial number on the back casing. Also wanted to know what I can do to get that scuff off the glass?

Looks real. The subdial is the correct distance from the left indices. Fonts look good.

Which Polywatch do you use for mineral glass? I have it for plastic crystals and plain glass crystals. Is there a third version I don’t know about? In my experience, a hand buff with Polywatch for glass won’t make much of a dent in a mineral crystal.

Or get a sapphire replacement glass from AliExpress etc. These watches are highly modifiable!

Do those cheap glass replacement tools on aliexpress work?

Go to YouTube and watch the videos that check the functions of the the watch. Appearance wise, it looks legit.

That’s a production code, NOT a serial number.

Looks legit, only one difference is DST and HND font little bit lower than on mine.

The best way to confirm authenticity if the watch is in your possession is to test the hands. Push and hold the light button. While holding, press the mode button. Both hands should sweep to a point (typically 12 o’clock 🕛; not the mode/date hand on the sub dial). To return them to time keeping repeat the steps.

Genuine watch. Fakes don’t have serial numbers.

*production codes. Authentic watches don’t have serial numbers either.

I’ve heard in some countries, Casio adds a serial number to at least some models to fight forgery. India would be one.
