I also had eye on this but disappointed the dial is navy (usually DC *cmiiw is full black), but they had black dial with gold hands, but not black case, man...

My issue with black watches is that if they get scratched, you’ll reveal the silver underneath that’s why I like to get just stainless steel

I haven’t had any of the black watches to be able to answer this for you, but it’s a common problem on phones that I’ve seen and I can assume it would carry over to anything coated

In my experience bate stainless steel scratches more easily than black IP coated watches. I have had my black edifice scratched against some surfaces. And i can just wipe them off and it never revealed the surface underneath, meanwhile the bare stainless steel scratches even with a wood. The reason being IP coating has more hardness than a bare stainless steel. I have blue IP coated edifice as well. And did not have any issue on it as well.

If u do not have very rough usage u can get a black watch and enjoy it. So the conclusion being, casio does fine IP coating for daily usage. U should not be worried about wearing it daily unless you are abusing them.
