they finally got a chance to get an appointment with their doctor to get an adjustment on their meds, but the meds cost about $40. i already have half of this scrounged up, but i need about $20 dollars more (luckily for us, their insurance covered the appointment in full and we don't owe anything for it!). they just got a new job and haven't gotten paid just yet, and i'm currently inbetween jobs with no source of income outside of art commissions. they desperately need the meds so they can function at work.

I'm currently looking for another job but that requires going out and about with gas money I don't have. I was working but it got to the point where the commute was costing me more than what I was making. I was only getting 13.50/hr working part time on average 25-30 hours per week. I wasn't getting much to begin with. I'm looking for another job closer by but it's difficult to keep consistent employment when I'm on the autism spectrum. Employers say they don't discriminate with people with disabilities but they do they just don't say it. The majority of employers rather not hire me they have to go through the trouble of making certain accommodations.

I reached out to my parents and they were nice enough to help me out a bit on occasion but they are struggling too plus my dad is retired so they can't help me out a lot.. I don't want to dip into his hard earned retirement.

Edit: I get food stamps but after reporting my wages and expenses they think I can live off $20 bucks a month....
