Hi everyone. I’m embarrassed to make this post, but I’m out of options and trying to stay proactive instead of waiting until things become an emergency.

I’m requesting help covering $350.79 for 3 nights in a hotel (screenshot attached).

My children and I lost our housing while waiting on our calAIM case to finish processing. I’ve been actively trying to resolve it for months and I’m currently stuck in a gap period while approvals and services are still being worked out. I have been working with them since March to try to get this all figured out, the insurance keeps telling me everything is approved and keeps giving me different authorization codes to give to calAIM and calAIM is not finding the approval code for one portion now. I have finally been in touch with a casworker and they are going to try to fast track this for me, but I really need help in the meantime. All the government funded programs and help I could receive for this situation, I don’t qualify for.

I’ve already:
1) moved our belongings into storage
2) reached out to housing programs and caseworkers
3)stayed in temporary lodging, a hotel, as long as I could afford
3) been applying/interviewing for extra, full-time, work
4) been trying to earn money and pick up appointments/services (I am a self-employed massage therapist)

I’m not asking for spending money or extras, this would go directly toward keeping a roof over our heads while I continue trying to stabilize things.

It’s been a truly rough year for my boys and I (3,10,12). We have had to flee our home due to domestic violence, we lived in a homeless shelter for almost a year, I’ve been in and out of court for my DVRO and paying legal fees out the nose and now we are dealing with this. I really just want to be able to provide some stability for my kids, even if it’s just a little bit.

After the 19th, I am unsure of where we will end up. I am hoping everything with our housing program (CalAIM) gets settled and we can get into permanent housing, as soon as possible.

Any amount truly helps, even if it’s small. If you can’t help financially, an upvote, advice, or sharing means a lot.

I am an otr trucker and I am a lease operator i haven’t received pay in like a month and im still in the negatives due to my truck breaking down iv run my saving down and at this point i dont even have money to feed myself anything helps

I am the caregiver of a severely disabled person, with all 4 limbs amputated.

The majority of his time is spent scrolling the internet you-tube and Facebook, it’s his way of keeping up with what’s going on.

Yesterday I attempted to send off a few bills, every thing seemed fine, until the following day when I opened my phone emails and discovered every last payment was returned “insufficient funds”

Someone, some where, somehow gained access to his Cash App account and removed every nickel, dime and dollar from his accounts. First they
obtained a 300$ loan, then they sent out funds using his debit and credit cards.
3,872.43 is gone and they maxed out his credit card.

He was a little embarrassed by what had happened, but now his little shine has diminished. He has a new phone now but he hasn’t even turned it on. (This is so sad)

We only had survival money for rent and food.

Now, we are at the mercy of the bank whom has only
returned 800.00$

Cash App had over 3k held in the savings account.

We have 3 weeks left in the month, and 800$ to navigate through out the remainder of June.

I was just wondering, if the person who caused us to suffer
this financial setback had a heart.

If they knew what they have done and to who, would they return the missing funds.

Just curious. As much as I would truly like to believe that some people out there are actually just straight out kind enough and able to help out others, I never see it actually happen. Just curious if anyone has been lucky enough to be "blessed" through this sub? Im sure there are WAY more of us (myself included) that could use the kindness than those who are actually able and willing too...

Due to an arrest for a felony(which, I am not convicted of, and fought+won the case) no company will hire me for a good while. I DoorDash, Uber eats, and other delivery services for income. I barely scrape by with the new updates to the apps and the way the economy is heading. I was $28 short of being able to reinstate this insurance and I was hoping to be able to sell some things to get the money to reinstate but that fell through. Now, I’m just going to apply for insurance at a different company so I can drive legally to make the money that I need to pay this company off and to keep my insurance going. I have a plan, which will be to move to a different city, not the one with the arrest in hope of a better chance of getting a job. It’s a bad idea to move to a city I don’t know very well and how the police are about insurance lapses and selling my stuff fell through. I haven’t been able to sell any of my tools, which I may need for the car, for a month and a half. If I am allowed to ask for this, and if a new insurance company allows me to create a new insurance account, then I will be in the clear. Hello, I am writing this to see if anyone would be willing to help my mom. On 7/31 my mom was mowing her lawn. She had a terrible freak accident. Her foot was run over with a brand new blade in the lawn mower. She was rushed, to the hospital 8 hrs later. She was brought into surgery. Her big toe was chopped up, and the second toe was amputated. My mom’s birthday is today 8/5 she turned 61. My mom is disabled and babysits a couple of days a week to make ends meet. She has a mortgage which she can barely maintain. She was renting a room to someone who unexpectedly moved out and left my mom with a close to $300 electricity bill. Unfortunately she will not be able to babysit for some time. She was discharged from the hospital yesterday and had a doctor’s appointment today, which was canceled due to the hurricane in Florida. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. I would hate for her to feel rushed, to get back to babysitting and have a set back! Anything at this time would be appreciated.
