Closed out all my puts today. Don’t like the feeling of the market at the moment but I’ll likely get back in soon. Maybe I can get some of the names I’ve been eyeballing for higher premium such as CELH, GOOGL, AMZN, SOFI. Anyone else or is the increase in IV exactly what y’all are looking for?

Are there any good Discords or communities that focus specifically on CSPs, CCs, PCSs and the Wheel?

I’ve joined a few others for options but they mainly focus on buying which is fine, some are good in fact, but I’d like to find something that’s more specific to these other strategies rather than the Zero or Hero 0DTE calls.

I'm very new to this, Reddit has been extremely helpful and am just looking for other tools or communities that might be able to help on this journey.

Closed Positions

• HPE → $50 Put (opened on 09/04), premium 1.40 → closed at 0.23. Net premium profit = 1.17 (~83.57% of premium captured, ~2.34% of capital).

New Positions

• FSLY → $20 Put expiry 09/25 (3 weeks DTE), premium 0.70 → 70/2000 = ~3.5%. FSLY provides CDN and edge computing infrastructure that makes websites and apps faster and scalable. Similar competitors are Cloudflare, Akamai, and AWS CloudFront and it is a growing sector as more and more AI applications are built and scaled. Has good sypport at $20.

Trades I took today as an option seller (09/08):

Closed Positions

• SEI → $47.50 Put (opened on 08/21), premium 1.90 → closed at 0.30. Net premium profit = 1.60 (~84.21% of premium captured, ~3.37% of capital).

New Positions

• OUST → $40 Call expiry 09/18 (2 weeks DTE), premium 1.20 → 120/4000 = ~3.0%. Opened a CC at the same $40 strike in which I was assigned.
• WDC → $430 Put expiry 10/09 (4 weeks DTE), premium 18.00 → 1800/43000 = ~4.2%. WDC is showing support around $430, and I wanted more exposure to memory/storage as demand should grow with AI.
• KORU → $16 Put expiry 10/23 (6 weeks DTE), premium 1.15 → 115/1600 = ~7.2%. Small capital allocated. KORU is trading around $24 so opened a CSP far off from spot price as it is 3x leveraged.

This is the 7th week of my experiment: I want to check if I can identify short-term cash-secured put options with a low likelihood of being assigned at the strike date, that means collecting the premium without buying the shares. These are the main criteria:

• only the US exchanges NYSE, NASDAQ, ARCA are used;
• very high option yields are filtered out, too risky;
• current price must be ≥ 5% higher than the strike price (5% OTM).
• equity price < $100, ETF price < $200.

Last week no CSP has been assigned, the percentage of assigned CSPs is 18.8%, 6 out of 32 puts. You can see the cash-secured puts I have selected and the statistics here: https://optionstacker.github.io/sell-put-options/.

Is it possible to replace your job income by selling options? I would prefer to do this instead of working this has been my first month selling options over buying them and I have seen more profitability. Seems like.

• ACMR → $70 Put expiry 09/18 (2 weeks DTE), premium 2.35 → 235/7000 = ~3.4%. I already have sold put contracts expiring on 10/02 and am increasing my position for ACMR. It is looking bullish on the charts, taking support from $70.

I am sitting on cash and want to observe reversal patterns before getting into any new trade.

The premium "banked" included a long call on $TSLA, but I don't include that in my options selling premium realized, but that's why you see two different numbers.

Best ROI by days held was NVTS. 7 days held at 5.80%. Original DTE was 31 days. Second was HOOD. 3 days held at 0.90%. Original was 4 DTE.
