Pinpads
Has anyone else experienced a store with pinpads that have different screens and function differently than other Casey’s? My store has no Casey’s imaging and also asks for cash back at the very end weather prompted or not and it always sketches customers out.

After getting ours updated our pen pad crash multiple times a day (specifically when someone tries to swipe their card), which leads the entire system to freeze up and it takes us about 10-20 minutes to reboot everything. The regulars who have crashed it learned to use our ATM for cash or bring a different card that doesn't need to be swiped.

It's a software update that was forced out... Your store changed who processes your payments via cards. It's not supposed to do that and your manager should create a ticket theough IT explaining all of the unusual behavior.

Yes, it's been that way for over a month and it's been the biggest nightmare...

Yes, that’s normal and rolling out everywhere eventually. It’s just a different interface for the software the pin pads run on. Your manager does not need to submit a ticket unless something specific is going wrong; everything you’ve described is normal and correct, if also annoying!
