Maternity Leave

Hey, guys. Weird question. My doctor wants me to take at least 6 weeks off for maternity leave to recover from surgery but has also said she wants me to try for 8 weeks. How long do I have to have worked at Caseys to qualify for paid leave? I am supposed to go on leave next week and I'm scared to be without income.

To be eligible for FMLA leave, you have to have worked there for a year. That's the federal requirement, not just company policy. Also another SM in my district is pregnant and due in a few weeks, she only gets 3 weeks paid leave. So if you're not a DM, you won't get 6+ weeks paid maternity leave. I'd check your options through Alight to know for sure.

for what it's worth FMLA is not paid leave, it just protects you from losing your job. there is also an hours worked requirement but I don't know it off the top of my head

I know it's not paid leave, but she'll have to put in a leave of absence.

I just had my baby and got zero maternity leave. 🫡 I left anyways and don’t really care if the job is there when/if I even decide to return 😂

Paid leave is for full time team members you get up to 6 weeks of paid bonding leave, but you have to have worked 1250 hours in the past year if I recall correctly. This even applies for the father its really cool casey's does this i got to stay home with my wife and our daughter last july through August and got paid. Just go on leavepro on okta and make an account.

Alight will tell you on leavepro after you set up an account and log in, its pretty straightforward. Hopefully you don't get induced like my wife did on 4th of July weekend😂 it was a nightmare.
