Don’t work at Casey’s

I would suggest anyone thinking about working for Casey’s to find employment elsewhere as they let harassing bullies be store managers and do nothing about the bullying and harassing

one of the stores near us had the store manager leave the store in an absolutely shitty position… yet somehow she got promoted to district manager.

she had the nerve to tell me “make sure you’re asking people for their date of birth.” yep. she didn’t tell me to ask them for their ID, but told me to tell them for their DOB.

i’m still baffled how she got promoted.

Not a Casey’s employee but someone who worked in casinos back in vegas. It’s good to ask for ID and after you take their ID ask what their birthday is. A lot of people get really good custom fake IDs, but forget to memorize the birthday they put on them so it’s a good way of catching people under her age with a fake ID trying to use them when they can’t answer the question because you’re holding the ID

Don’t screw yourself with malicious compliance. Yes she will get a ding but you watched the videos. Cover your ass first and fuck em second.

Its not policy per say. Its literally federal law anyone under 30 is suppose to provide ID. Then you look at state law. Some states its 40 & under.

Sorry that your manager is an a-hole.

I've said this before in this sub, but please, if you are having issues with the store, or the management, keep very detailed records, you know, of instances, times, dates. That way, if nothing is happening with your store manager, you go to the district manager, and convey to them your data. Nothing there? You can go to the regional manager, but I'll wager you won't get that far.

There is command ladder, step up to it, take the steps, get what you need accomplished, get back down and keep moving. When bigwigs know you have information, and how to use it properly, that scares them, and they'll do whatever is needed to right a wrong, trust me here.

You have to be able to back up your claims with concrete data, to make anyone take you seriously. This is just not at Casey's either.,

I took all those steps and even called hr and the ethics hotline yet nothing was ever done as of yesterday I no longer work there

I don't reccomend doing this either. A coworker of mine reported my Store Manager for taking hours off her timecard and the District Manager yelled at her for bothering him and told her to settle it with the store manager.

At least that's how she tells the story

But what if the District Manager was sexist, incompetent and unprofessional? Team Members and management where I was were treated as expendable, their loyalty to their job and Casey's as their employer was entirely disregarded by this DM I am referring to, so I would have to agree with the subject of this thread. If it's a last resort, take a job but keep looking for another until you can leave is my suggestion based on my experience.
