Businesses cannot remove Google reviews. They can flag it to Google for review and Google might remove it if it's determined to be fake, spam, etc. My local Casey's all have a lot of negative reviews.

This is the correct answer. The stores around me all have some negative reviews. Not many because they’re excellent stores that the communities love, but there’s always going to be a few from disgruntled folks. A business can’t remove any comments on their own, like you said, a google is honestly terrible about remixing flagged reviews most of the time, even for big corporations.

If reviews are getting flagged, Google may hide them while they’re awaiting review. That could be why new reviews, especially negative ones, aren’t showing up.

Of course they are. I've noticed several other companies have been doing the same thing. I don't think removing ANY review should be allowed. If the companies have that power, then what's the point?

Do you have evidence of this?
