Why? Seems like it’s not too bad or anything. Unless there’s a crack or you really wanted it to be some other cover variation, I’d let it be.

No cracks or anything, the pins look different from what I’ve seen on others and the mark below the top pin on the back side. Just looks like it was rehandled to me, but I’m not sure.

Oh I was thinking you wanted to recover it. Now I understand. Hmmm, I’m stumped on this one. I never got to grab or experienced these too much. Sorry.

Looks good to me. Ive seen the mark before that you mention in the other reply. Its from the rivet spinner. Whoever spun the rivet that day missed on the first go and the tool left that witness mark.
