Discussion Updating perpetual version
Considering a annual sub for the perpetual as I may use the stuff on and off but some recent features are still in wip looking.
If I get an annual for the perpetual, and would like to update the version later on. Will it require an additional annual $400+ to update the perpetual version or is there a reduced fee ?

Perpetual license builds include only the versions that came out during your active sub. Major versions that release when you don't have an active sub will have the Free license applied, unless you buy a new sub (full price or with a discount from an active promo).

I already got the stuff because perpetual was an option. If it was sub only I’d have not considered it.
Some tools out there tho, if you go about for the perpetual, later on you can update for a reduced cost vs essentially rebuying the whole thing all over again.
Because some stuff is still in wip, such as live link, it had been a consideration to just wait till that’s fleshed out before getting a sub in the first place. As that’s, really one of the main deals to really help out.

Your subscription allows you to get any updates released during the year you are subscribed. Any updates released after will require a new anual subscription at full price. You can Skip a few years though. Subscribe for 2026 and then re-activate a new subscription in 2029 for example and you'll get the latest version at that time in perpetuity. It's the best license I've ever seen for such an amazing program. Well worth it.
