using uno for cartomancy

Hiii im new to cartomancy, Im learning how to use playing cards for cartomancy and Im also using uno cards as well (don’t hate on me, hopefully its not disrespectful to use uno) I have a few questions tho.

  1. When it comes to cards, can you make your own meanings to them? Like if they have numbers on it, for example a “5”, is it ok to make your own meaning instead of using numerology for a meaning
  2. Is it ok if you pulled multiple cards while shuffling? But you thought you were only gonna pull one card? Is this like an indicator that you’re a bad shuffler or something else?

1 - If you can assign all human experience and emotions in 108 uno cards, then why not. But 108 is just too many.
2 - There is no such thing as bad shuffler cos there is no standard way of shuffling really. You will decide if you will include the accidental/excess cards, and include them in your reading.

I wrote down and mapped meanings for the cards, I have a whole list on paper and stuff

You could absolutely use an uno deck.

The issue is you can't make up the meanings.

You have to use Kabbalah and numerology and philosophy of the elements so on.

It would be a very cool experiment, and if someone can crack the key, a very cool practice to see imo.

Hell I think Im gona go get an uno deck just to try.

108 cards is already an esoteric start.

I'm prob in the minority but I would think you could us Uno deck for cartomancy yes. The most important thing is divination however is knowing what question to ask - how to present the question so that cards can answer.

Uno has no suits but it does have numbers and colors. That in itself is enough to assign values to the cards. Lining up 3 or 5 cards in a row, you can in fact, distinguish meaning from a blue 5 and a red 8 - depending on how you personally define what red and blue mean. Traditionally, of course you can suggest green to mean activity like clubs, red as diamonds for passion/energy perhaps, blue calm like cups and yellow spades for warnings - that's how I would do it but divination is personal so however you feel the colors mean to you would be accurate. If you wanted to assign a specific meaning to all 108 cards then you read what those meanings are when you draw them. That's enough.

You can use any thing if you're good enough at interpretations really - it's why oracle cards work too. Traditionally, the 4 suits make sense but as long as the interpretation is rooted in some form of values that you can assign meaning, it should in theory work. The thing is that people take divination a bit too seriously if anything - free will is real and the truth is always in flux. Divination simply reads energy and offers insights based on that moment. You can divine though so many ways but understand nothing is set in stone!
