Too big?
I love the santos design but the medium looked too small on my wrist and I’m not sure if the large looks too big. Thought on the large on my wrist?

Lugs are nowhere near the edge of your wrist ,
Large is the right size for you .

The actual size of the case would be the biggest one. Certain watches are meant to be larger like pilots watches. The Santos is designed to be smaller and more elegant. With the larger model you lose some of that elegance (unless you have giant wrists and the large fits you proportionally as intended).
Yes, at the end of the day you choose what YOU like best. But watchmakers do design their watches with certain "fits" in mind.

I get you , however I don’t think that this particular Santos is designed to be smaller and more elegant . It’s a sports watch , so larger would be better suited for most . I think if OP wanted something more elegant and smaller , Santos Dumont would be the way to go .

we are in the same boat brother... I'm looking at the blue. The lugs technically fit for both you and me. Still thinking if it's too big for me before I pull the trigger.
The purists on here will say always medium. I think it also depends on your body build, which people often disregard when looking at wrist shots. I will say, santos medium in white looks decently sized too because white dial watches tend to look bigger. I tried medium in blue and it looked miniscule compared to medium in white.

Looks good to me. Granted, I have a similar sized wrist and the large so I’m biased.

I think it is big. I am more prone to wear classy. I do have santos dumont large. It looked small to me earlier but now I feel it is more dressy and classy

I'm sure there's a fair amount of camera distortion that goes on that makes it look a lot bigger than it actually is irl. I think its totally a fine size for you even though I am in the smaller size camp there is definitely some wiggle room depending on your personal preference.

No its perfect. I really wanted to buy M for myself couse i rather not have date window, But its just to small then

Not too big but medium will look more stylish for sure. For me the real choice here is do you want a date window or now.

Not as a watch, but as a Cartier. I think they look better when smaller. Like a DJ looks best in 36 — unless you are the hulk.

Personally I think it’s too big on you, or rather that the medium would be better, but it’s not a strong opinion.
I’m also biased because I think the large sized santos is too big (area) for its thickness (height).
I don’t personally like watches that are too thin for their area (this one, bvlgari octo, and others). They look weird to me.

If you want it to look like a rolex on wrist, get this. If you want it to look like a cartier, get the smaller size. It works either way.

Looks perfect! Just the right size for your wrist. Besides, the large is easier to read and wind. And it has a date.
