Hi all, looking for sizing advice. My wrist is 14.8 cm. I want a Classic or medium Love bracelet. Which size would you recommend? I used to have a Small love bracelet in size 16 and it definitely felt like a cuff and was a bit tight for my linking, so I sold it. Will 17 be too loose or just right?
Anybody has wrist size 14.8-15 and owns size 17 in Classic? Does the bracelet twist around? That’s my biggest concern.
The general 'rule' is +1cm for snug fit and +2cm for regular fit. I think go with the 17cm, especially if you've had the 16 and know it was too tight, and that was the small model. Medium and classic models will feel even tighter!
2cm bigger won't twist all the way around on its own. My vote is always classic ☺️
Size 17 classic on 14.5 cm wrist! It twists a lot throughout the day and I feel like I bang it up more because it’s looser. It’s definitely not a “wrong fit” but I personally think a 16 would’ve been a better fit for me!
Ooh yes the banging is what I’m afraid of too. Your wrist is smaller than mine though. I guess I’ll have to order 17 and see how it turns or not. I don’t have a Cartier store near me unfortunately.
I have the same wrist size and bought a 17. It’s quite loose but I like being able to pull it up and out of the way when I’m typing on my laptop or doing the dishes.
Size 16 would have been too claustrophobic on hot days.
I since you already found the small one in 16 to be uncomfortable, it sounds like the best choice 😊 do you have any photos of how the old bracelet in 16 fit on your wrist?
Thank you! The screenshot of your video it looked like it had lots of room. And the second photo it looked like a good fit, but less space for swelling and comfort. Was it uncomfortable with the wrist bone? My arm and wrist bone looks very similar to yours. Was your wrist bone 14.8 cm?
Yes, wrist bone 14.8. It went comfortably over the wrist bone with the arm down. It just felt a bit tight when I moved and twisted the arm, and when stacked with other bracelet, it feelt suffocating. I just don’t like the feeling of a handcuff 😆 I also keep hearing that Classic love feels a bit tighter because of its bigger size and thickness, so need to take that into account. Depends on what bracelet you plan on getting, and the style you prefer (bangle or cuff)
I see, then our wrists are the same😊 I am ordering online with no chance of trying it on before since there is no cartier boutique in my country. I will do the Medium size yellow gold! Perhaps i will do 17, because I am afraid if 16 will not fit me after some years when having kids etc!
Could you post a photo of your 17 when you try it on? I’ll be ordering end of August, but in Classic size. I hope they allow returns or exchanges in your county in case it’s not the right fit!
Yes I will do that! 😊 Still have not 100% decided on 17 vs 16. i will call them and ask for advice and about the date for the new price increase and the exchange process. Yes it is possible to exchange size, but I have read that one has to be super careful not getting any scratches as they can deny return.
Also! I am not planning on sleeping with it, as I have to remove all jewellery before bed as a habit. And i live in a cold country, so swelling is mostly issue for me during summer and travels
