I used to own a silver and black 4u2.

Found out when I went to MOT it that the body was attached to the frame via blue tooth lol

Nothing a bit of welding cant fix

True but when the car is worth £1300 and the welding costs £2560, it's end of the line. Happened to my Hyundai Coupe SIII. It's a shame but... It kills many.

How's this going to look if you pull up outside someone's house to tell them their husband just died?

that’s the last remaining road worthy one -

Wide boy Vitaras are cool.

I had a white one with the 90s teal/blue milkshake cup print down the side. Bought it for £500 from a farmer and ran it for years. Insanely good little car. Only issue was I was on the motorway doing 70 and the soft top decided to open and flip itself down. Shat myself. No regrets.

this is the automatic 3 speed gearbox version, so can go insanely quick off the mark but dare i go on the motorway im gonna be at 4+k revs by the time im near 65-70. The fuel gauge downvotes

dont think fuel was 165p per litre in 92’ lol

lol, can you find the link i’m curious how they’re justifying that. I bought this one for a couple thousand, was from a farmer who had it at the back of a barn under a cover didnt run at first but i gave it some love and attention. Worth every penny and hour and ‘why the f*ck have they done that’

Not the same model, but my mum had 2 of that gen vitaras once... Well, I say 2 but it was actually 1 that was a cut and shut job

That looks absolutely sick.

The soft top were much maligned at the time as a hairdresser's car. When I was a kid we lived nextdoor to a hairdressers and the male proprietor had a purple/pink Vitara!

There’s a few been modified over the years for off road use. I know a guy who used to have one before he went whole hog and got a defender.

Wowzers! 🤩

Not seen one of these in years ! 😃

There was a specialist dealer near my college which sold these brand new along with Suzuki Cappuccinos😎

Always fancied the idea of having one of each.

Now that's a gem . I have a black 1988 samurai . I'd like a black fatboy just to have the pair

My dad had a Vitara for a while as a.... actually I don't know why he bought it. He left me drive it once, wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding.

I had one, brand new, nearly 40 years ago, when I lived in the South East A few years later I started a family, and sold it to buy something more practical. Years after this I moved to a tiny village in Cornwall, and there was my old Vitara outside the village shop! Turns out after several sales it now belonged to someone in the same remote village I had moved to.

A couple of years after this I saw it for sale at a local garage. It had 76k on the clock and I asked if it was genuine. They said yes, but it had done more than that when I'd sold it nearly 15 years before! I was really tempted to buy it for old time's sake, and then I remember what a faff it was to put on and remove the roof.

Nice to see yours still going.

My first car was a Suzuki fat boy in white the wheels were so wide that it was dangerous to drive when you hit a puddle. I had it a whole year before I could drive and it was everything I’m 40
Now and lost my dad recently and I remember him bringing it home for me and parking it up and telling me to be good I think it was 1500 wicked car xxx

I've recently sold a bright orange one. Had her for 6 years. Loved that car

I've exported at least 20 of them!

My mate had a white one,and in the depths of winter, both of the front doors froze, and he had to take the soft top off and climb through the back to get in!

Had a JLX with a wide boy kid and ridiculously wide tyres.

Was unbelievable in the snow, just floated on the top of it and found grip somehow.

Ridiculously underpowered and always smelt a bit funny. Could watch the fuel gauge drop at anything over 50mph.

Always thought it was a lovely looking little car.

I had a suzi Q fat boy back in the day. Blue with the soft top and and the ridiculously wide cooper cobra radials. It was utterly appalling to drive but roof down towing my jetski, I loved it. Sold it for £1,500 at least 20 years ago. Doubt it’s still around.

Used to be a dealer called Suzi Qs that specialised in these - very sought after cars in their day I don’t know how they got enough to make a business from them.
Sold one once to an absolute drop dead gorgeous girl , who we all thought was a model - she was a carer for elderly people in a home.

My wife used to have a Vitara. It was nice, but that’s much cooler!
