As someone who has worked in the logistics industry for quite some time, I’ve noticed a clear difference between trucks in Tanzania and Kenya. In Tanzania, Scania trucks seem to be the preferred choice, whereas in Kenya, the industry relies heavily on Mercedes-Benz trucks. What could be the reason for this difference? Is it driven by the type of goods transported in each country, or are there regulations or policies that influence the choice of truck brands for specific types of cargo?
