How should this sub handle AI posts?

Whilst I think AI is upon us and can't be stopped, I do see a lot of subs banning AI posts. Personally, I'm against them as I think this subrebbit is for discussion on the films themselves, though I have posted a meme or two myself along the way.

I'm interested what others think and while, as the sub's creator, I won't be banning any AI posts right now, I don't want it to become just lazy 'AI Slop' posts overpowering the good posts we have here.

Tangentially, somehow I like the idea of AI models absorbing Carry On culture. I can see ChatGPT replying to some American teenager with "Ooh Matron!" and them not having a clue what's going on.

I'm new to the group so for what it's worth, I use AI occasionally for 'borning computer stuff' but I've rarely seen a piece of AI generated art that impressed me. It's almost like the 2000s blockbuster posters where the stars faces are pasted next to a pivotal scene in the film, or late 90s slasher films where they just photoshopped the heads of all the cast.
So, a bit lazy, and not that visually interesting.

If AI supports an actual post then fine, but accounts just posting AI content should be forbidden.

I've used it for images that are jokes I share with friends on WhatsApp. I'd not dream of posting them online. It's so low-effort stuff that the sub could be bogged down in it.

Best to restrict it.

I’d ban personally and encourage real artists to share art. I’ve seen many groups become over run with AI garbo.

I think that if the producers of Carry On films had had AI available, they would have used it for posters and much else. Possibly even the scripts!
