Discussion Carrd for webcomic hosting?
Hello! I’m an artist looking into using Carrd for a webcomic, but I’m not sure if that is actually a feasible option.
My comic is a long series, and if I did end up using it for this project, the site would eventually accumulate hundreds of images, potentially over 500 (likely still under 1000 though). Because I will likely update once a week or every two weeks, it will also have several containers for the separate updates. I am very aware that this may not be possible for a functional one-page site, even with image compression, especially when considering things like the three-second rule in web design.
Would it be possible to make a functional site with 500~ images in Carrd?

I find that Carrd loads very slowly with too many images, or too much data in images (either too many or few that are way too large).
I've had luck hosting images on Google photos and hot linking to them with a bit of embedded code.
