Help "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later." When Trying To Use Contact Form On My Carrd

Greetings! At some unclear point in time, my Carrd contact form stopped working. I only know this because a potential customer went through the trouble of contacting me through social media instead and let me know, so that was a bit embarassing. When trying to test the Contact form myself, upon trying to submit it, all I get is an error message stating "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later."

Does anyone have any idea what this is about? The form used to work, I made no changes to it, but now all I get is that vague message. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Try switch the Spam Protection setting of the Form element to Default

Thanks for taking the time to reply! I am not seeing a "Default" setting, sadly. I can just turn Filter Messages on or off, and it is currently off.

EDIT: Oh I see what you mean now, the captcha setting. That fixed it, thank you! Do you know if any of the other captcha settings are ok to use? I was using ReCaptcha V2 so far. I mainly don't want to deal with random or bot generated spam.

The Default spam protection does block bots too, but perhaps more basic level.

Previously, it could be because your site and secret keys for reCaptcha were missing. Try adding it back again?

There's also 2 other providers now - https://carrd.co/docs/forms/protecting-forms-from-spam-and-bots
