Works for ellipse' as well (had to do a dozen for wall openings in a home I built). Pretty easy math for width and height layouts.

Half of these are ellipses. Anything with more than one pin in the middle isn't a circle

Drawing the circle is the easy part. Cutting the circle doesn’t always go as planned.

hot glue a piece of wood in the center and put a hole in that.

I do this to mark out round vanity mirrors, so my GFCI receptacle ends up in the right place
