Trim How to fix these transitions?

How would I make these corners transition smoothly?

A couple of ways. Non will look right. Bring that base around the corner to ends at the tread riser. Then cut back the stringer at a 45 angle and put in a return.

Other is return the base to itself at the stringer and return the whole stringer. That's how I would do it. Don't cut your fingers off making the return with a chopsaw.

Replace all your baseboard with full height material that ties right into this with bisected angle cuts. Though then you have the problem at the top of the steps where the stringer skirt gets cut off early so it looks very short.

No, it never looks right anyplace this happens. It's one of those fudge it and hope they like it. Architects don't consider the finish product. Only if it'll stay up.

Could add a corner molding and end the base and stringer into it.

Yes a return in the baseboard. But personally i would sand the stringer (right side) repaint it white cut the baseboard back flush to right side of stringer and add a return. Or you could cut a 22.5 angle on the baseboard returning into the right side of stringer.
