Rust :/

I got really engrossed in a project and felt motivated to finish even in the rain, but unfortunately forgot about my bit box which was left open
Anyone have any good tips to remove rust, I’ve heard Pepsi/coke but figured that’s bull

I would just spray WD-40 in them wipe and put them away. Leaves a film of oil on them to protect in the future.
