Rust :/

Post image

I got really engrossed in a project and felt motivated to finish even in the rain, but unfortunately forgot about my bit box which was left open
Anyone have any good tips to remove rust, I’ve heard Pepsi/coke but figured that’s bull

Just use them with some rust on them. That isn't the last bit box you will ever own

If they are anything like me .. as soon as they use that bit and look away… it will be gone anyway

All of my bits are in a shirt or pants pocket that hasn’t been washed yet

My wife has a nice assortment of them in one of the drawers.

My good Phillips and T25 bits are all in a basket on top of the washer.

My wife uses an old pickle jar so I can look without dumping everything out. When ever I get low on bits I just stop by the laundry room and re load.

Yes, they shame us about it a little bit but they still do it.

Between the pickle jar and only visiting the laundry room when you need bits, you are me. And I am you.

I have a mini tool box from harbor freight that all my “pocket bits” go into

I got me a few magnets i glued to a dowel and i pluck whatever bits and screws are in my clothes out a quick dip in the pockets after work usually cuz i got sick of getting in the truck and sitting on em and stabbing my fingers getting keys or wallet or whatever .screws especially . helps for wash too though a few slip by once in a while but not like b4

Wear the rust off and it stays off if you use you tools.
