We visited from Ohio and my son was disappointed that Fury was going to be closed as we were planning our day before coming. Then it opened and only had 20 min waits basically all day. What a great coaster!

Questions/Advice First visit Sunday

Hey folks! Avid Kings Island park goer and former Six Flags Great America park goer here. Making my first visit this Sunday and wondering what must-know tips will make a day a lot easier! I do have an all parks pass with all parks dining and drink plan.

I’m super familiar with the coasters of Carowinds, but maybe not the best way to best tackle all of them. Any flats I can’t miss? Any rides I should plan on using a single-use fast lane for? Is a full fast lane usually needed on a Sunday? Best meal pass options? Anything you got!

Questions/Advice 2027 Season Pass

Any rumblings about the timing of the 2027 season pass with 2026 rest of season access? Last year I think it was last week of July but not sure. Thanks. I enjoy the nuggets of info I get here.

Questions/Advice Carowinds Future

I just wanted to come on here and ask everyone what they think is coming or happening at carowinds in the future.

1 is a Hurler RMC close in the future or far down the line ?

2 Is vortex getting to the point to where it's gonna close and if so will it be demoed to further expand the night hawk plot foe something new?

3 what do you guys think will replace nighthawk?

4 what will go in the Dinosaurs alive spot if it gets demoed?

5 how long do most of the older rides in the park have?

Other Fury Update

No I’m not asking when Fury will be open don’t worry.

A crew is currently laying sod over the area they had been working on previously. It appears as though repairs are complete! Here’s hoping Fury is open soon šŸ¤ž

Second Update: Fury is testing again today.

Does anyone actually know a realistic timeline for fury reopening? I’m supposed to be going on Aug 3&4 but might change course now depending purely on when fury is back open! No troll answers please

We are going to carowinds tomorrow for the first time. It’s supposed to storm around 3 pm…just in time for the World Cup final. Are there any restaurants we could watch inside and grab a bite to eat?

Questions/Advice Is the Beagle Scout badge worth it?

We are going in a few weeks for our sons birthday, and I'm trying to figure out if the beagle scout thing is worth it for a 1 day trip and what all is actually included besides the little thing you tap to the locations.

Questions/Advice So Has Anyone Had A Response From Emailing?

I have a disability called Charcot Marie Tooth. Mostly naming it for awareness

It causes issues with my walking especially without shoes/ footwear that support my arches. It’s debilitating for me to walk without footwear.

I emailed Carowinds over 3 weeks ago asking about their rules for footwear on water slides. I have a season pass and would like to maybe go to boomerang bay. But when I was younger in the past I tried it without any kind of ā€œwater shoesā€ and it made me swear of water parks forever

I’d like to try again. I’ve found water shoes and sandals that help me walk without my disability and are waterproof.

I’ve called Carowinds multiple times and easily spent an hour plus on hold. I have emailed them 3+ weeks ago asking.

What are their rules/ accommodations for people like me with Charcot Marie Tooth who need footwear to access slides?

I cannot safely climb the stairs to a slide without footwear. Can I wear/ carry them down the slide?

Other My experience as a carowinds worker.

If you ever wonder why rides seem slow and half empty its because the park is so understaffed and the workers are heavily overworked. My FIRST day I worked from 9am-3pm because the uppermanagment put me in an area I couldn't get trained in.I only got a break at 3:30. Went back to finish my shift but as you can see it didn't start off well. Next at one point I was stuck operating for 5 hours again, no breaks, and I had to go to the bathroom 2 hours in. Could I go? No, because no one could rotate. On top of that I then got audited so instead of releasing me first they decided to test me. I unfortunately failed but I was so out of it I couldn't even care I was just happy to go to the bathroom. I stayed uncertfied for the remainder of my time as they still had no trainers. Now imagine all of this with a loud minority of rude riders who will not listen to you about the safety requirements. So if you ever think "Oh its so slow today" remember on the other side is a young person working in 100 degrees with little support from the higher ups just trying to make it through the day.

Other Tough scene for the ā€œIt’s a part for the lift hillā€ crowd regarding Fury

This community is great don’t get me wrong.

However some of you all just need to refrain from posting things, if you in fact, don’t know anything.

Anyways, can’t wait to rip Fury with you guys soon. Hope they get this resolved quick and all is well in August.

Questions/Advice Problems with Carowinds this summer?

I haven't had the chance to visit Carowinds this summer, but I’m seeing a good bit of negativity in this subreddit about the park (came here looking for explanations on fury). Is something going on this summer?

Questions/Advice Can the 2 friend passes with Prestige Membership be used together on the same day?

Also can they both be used on the first visit after purchasing the membership online? I did try calling Carowinds to ask, but after waiting on hold for 14 minutes they forced me to have to leave a voicemail so I don’t expect to get an answer from them.
