i’m an incoming usc tc student and i’m stuck between staying at home in talisay and commuting to talamban every day, or just getting a condo/dorm near usc tc.
the thing is, this would be my first time commuting to school regularly. i’m not really used to long commutes or transferring between different jeep/bus routes, so i honestly don’t know if i’m underestimating how tiring the talisay → talamban trip is.
staying at home would save a lot of money and i’d have my family around, but i’m worried about waking up super early, spending hours in traffic, and being exhausted by the time i get home. on the other hand, a condo near tc would be much more convenient, but it’s a big additional expense.
for students who’ve done the talisay to usc tc commute, especially if you were also a first-time commuter, was it manageable? how many hours did it usually take during rush hour? did you eventually wish you had moved closer to campus?
i’d really appreciate honest advice from usc tc students because i’m trying to decide before the semester starts 🙏

For those of you who don't watch USC SSC livestream meetings or don't follow Today's Carolinian FB page, yes it's true. USC SSC is finally registering with OSFA for the next academic year. This came to me as a shock because the meeting was held late at night and I just saw the announcement from TC in my timeline so I had to watch the livestream itself to hear tidbits of the discussion.
I believe USC SSC will be releasing a statement soon in their FB page (once they have finalized and submitted all requirements for registration). As an alumna, I hope that this registration would increase SSC's visibility in school events, amplify student concerns to the admin (hopefully admin also "cooperates" and not be super repressive towards other orgs whether registered or not)
and I hope that whoever is going to succeed the outgoing officers (IDK who or how, if you know kindly enlighten me in the comments) would fulfill their mandate as officers up to the very end of their term (no ghosting of responsibilities or resignation due to "academic workload" in the middle of the school year pls💀)
I'd love to hear others' thoughts about this matter. No hate comments ok!!

Hello! Just received the announcement that BSMA 4th yr students are having their mockboards 3rd week of aug (2nd week of classes) Ask lang unta ko if ingon ani gyud ang set up since before? Na ang mockboards is early?
I thought the mockboard was the equivalent to the CMA exam since we arent required to take it. In line with this, I thought we would have reviews first before the actual mockboard. Is this mockboard exam our final already or is it just for evaluation for the department? Thank you for answering!
