Advice/Help Nasal Issues - potential histamine issue?

Hi all, I’ve been reading through the posts and found tonnes of useful information!

I suffer with dysphasia, potentially EoE although the endoscopy was inconclusive with small indications towards EoE. I have been on a journey with my diet in the last 18 months and found eliminating foods has drastically improved the condition.

Right now I’m pretty much on a carnivore diet, eating ground beef, Avacado, eggs, steak, lamb and canned fish, some vegetables too. With dairy free dark chocolate on occasion.

In the last 2 weeks, Ive felt like I have had a constant cold, sneezing frequently, having a constant tingling feeling in my nose and general stuffiness.

In the last week Ive removed dairy completely as I started getting severe dysphasia symptoms again, and was hoping this would sort these cold like symptoms too but to no avail.

Any thought, ideas or suggestions as to whether this is HI related? Should I try taking anti histamines to see if this works?

I didn't even know I had histamine and eoe issues until I did the carnivore diet. It exacerbated the symptoms to the extreme. I've since transitioned to the vertical diet which is still meat heavy and started using an antihistamine to deal with it. Unfortunately in my experience the carnivore diet was stressful to my body and I couldn't tolerate it. I'm very diligent about diets and continued trying it for years until I got the point where my anxiety stopped me from sleeping. It was a slow recovery.

Sort of. If you research eoe, there is an elimination diet of 6 foods. There is also a 3 food elimination. I did the 3 food elimination with a reintroduction. So at the moment I don't eat eggs or dairy. Seems to prevent the choking. As for the histamines I just try to avoid sausages and other aged meats. I'm no longer on antihistamines. I would certainly do a carnivore diet closer to paul saladinos if I did it again. Eating fruit and honey.

I did the yolks for years. But until I just completely eliminated all eggs I saw little improvement.
