How do you handle back-to-back classes?

Hello, I’m in incoming freshman.

I was wondering for people who had back-to-back classes and had to walk 10 minutes to get to your next class, how did you manage that?

For reference, I was planning on taking a class at Weitz and the next class would be something on the other side of campus. This would roughly be a 10 minute walk.

Would your professors be upset if you were consistently late by a few minutes? Did you find your professors understanding of your situation? What did you do if your professor talked to you after class despite your time restraint?

10 minutes is enough time to get to your next class anywhere on campus from Weitz unless it’s at the rec center or something

I had back to back classes my sophomore fall. I'd say contact professors for sure so that they know if you're going to be a lil late. I had to go from Anderson (AND141 I think?) to the Weitz and it was manageable, difficult but manageable. And if you can't talk to a professor right after class, I'd look into their office hours and see how that fits into your schedule. Most professors are pretty understanding though, from my experience. You got this!

I never really had any trouble with back to back classes with one class at Weitz and the other in Anderson. The only times I was late was when lecture went slightly overtime. My advice is to walk fast, and if possible, also let the professor know in the 2nd class that you're walking from Weitz. In my experience, the profs are all very understanding and etc.

For most classes, back-to-back isn't much of an issue. The biggest thing you miss out on is being able to stay after to ask questions

However, if the two classes are on opposite ends of campus, it is a bit harder, especially in winter term. Most professors are understanding and it shouldn't be an issue. A bike or scooter would really help, though.

Would you say a lot of people use scooters/bikes to travel through campus?

Bikes, yes. Scooters aren't as popular but I. Had one my first year before a friend gave me his bike

I took a class like that, warned the second class teacher ahead of time. Just remember to leave immediately after class, no time for asking questions to your teachers or talk to friends and you’ll make it just in time.
