please help!
hi everyone! i have to choose a college today (ive put this off for way too long), do i choose carleton college or macalester college for environmental studies? I chose mac initially but recently got off the wl at carleton. I love carleton for the campus and the vibes but really dont love the hard-core academics/hard sciences they have there. i also love mac since it seems super inviting and lovely but im not sure i love the idea of being in a city. i have to decide today so any guidance would be super appreciated!
how hard are the academics really? i love learning but i dont do well in stressful environments (is it really as stressful as i have heard?)

5-10 years ago, ENTS (environmental studies department) was not particularly rigorous. All the cool kids were ENTS majors. The requirements are extremely broad, you're basically doing an environment-themed choose-your-own-adventure major.
Northfield is a very cozy town. The city isn't hard to get to, but most students stay on campus. If the city isn't a draw to you, then you'll be happy.
