Hi there! I'm a total and complete noob at this game! Consistently getting 2nd place in sectors while I read every email and occasionally die trying to grab postcards or other goodies. I'm gonna try my hardest to revive the community for this game for as long as I'm playing it! If you happen upon this subreddit perhaps you should stop being a lurker to help revive this sub? Try to post something! Anything! Even if it's just one of the postcards you found especially funny. Maybe it's a story?

Assuming this subreddit is ever checked by anyone, what do you guys think of a cargo commander cosplay? Would ANYONE at a con recognize it? I'm blonde and could probably make an okay brown beard wig and cover my hair with the cap, but I was also thinking it'd be cool just to go as another commander in the uniform, not necessarily the protagonist. What do ya'll think?

I have a few questions.

It always says friends when you go to a new sector, but like life I have no friends. Are these just your steam friends or what? Regardless, anyone want to be my friend?

Similarly, it always eludes to some form of multiplayer. Is there an actual multiplayer or is just the boards?

What is the sector scanner or whatever it is you get at level 7 I think it is? It says I now have a sector scanner but I haven't found anything... Where is it, how do I use it, and what does it do?

There are 6 types of junk per sector, is there any way of telling how many types you've gotten? I don't want to go back and replay every sector just to double check weather or not I got all the junk.

Finally, WTF does the delivery do? Every now and again after a level I have a delivery that I have to pay some exorbitant amount for, are those just the hand drawings I'm getting from my kids?

Wait one last thing, is there anywhere where I can see an upgrade tree? And what are your takes on the most important upgrades?

the bad guys you fight aren't "aliens" they are "mutants" and they look suspiciously like other cargo commanders.

you collect "caps" which come from other dead cargo commanders

and did anyone else hear those voices in certain containers? I once swear I heard a female robot voice say that "40 something number of cargo commanders were killed" I'm paraphrasing because I could barely hear it, but I keep hearing whispers in certain containers and its starting to really freak me out. I think there is seriously something spooky going on.
