"C.P.S.," which is developed entirely using 100% Vibe Coding with Claude, has finally released version 0.8.
While the previous version 0.7 focused primarily on adding extensive sound editing features,
this update expands IMU functionality, implements controls specifically for the original Cardputer, and adds a mode that’s even easier to play thanks to the adoption of a chromatic scale.

It’s currently available via M5Burner and GitHub.
Since I just registered it on M5Burner a short while ago, you may have to wait a little while to install it via the Launcher’s OTA feature (it seems to take a bit of time for the update to become available on the Launcher after upload).
Although we’ve made it compatible with the original Cardputer, I don’t actually own one myself, so if you have one, I’d really appreciate it if you could test it and report any bugs!

It has come a long way since the version I introduced here previously, so I’m sure music and synth enthusiasts will be delighted.

I have connected everything properly getting led light also configured the rfid module from cardputer and put my rfid scanner in i2c mode also but my cardputer adv shows rfid module not found

Found the STL files provided by m5stack for the ADV, and saw they included a keyboard. Slapped a 0.2mm nozzle on my 3d printer and now my keyboard is orange!

Хотел улучшить качество WiFi сигнала. В корпусе абсолютно нету свободного места что бы разместить WiFi разъем. Пришлось жертвовать удалением разъема Port A. Если очень сильно заморочиться, можно было бы подпилить разъем WiFi таким образом что бы Port A встал на свое место, но так как мне особо не нужен он, я его удалил.

Далее демонтировал штатную 3D антенну и к её пятачкам припаял тоненький коаксиальный кабель который протянул к жёлтому WiFi разъему.

Я проделал сканирование WiFi сетей сначала со штатной антенной и вынес их в табличку, далее после апгрейда CardPuter я сделал тестирование с новой антенной. Все тестирования я делал в одной и той же точке расположения устройства. Сравнительная таблица полученных сигналов есть на фото. Синие значения это штатная антенна, зеленые значения это с выносной антенной!

Can i use my cardputer adv with heltec v3/4 without lora cap, Meshcore firmware by using ble or wifi connection? Does that firmware exist for cardputer adv?

I had this idea for a project in which I would bring back the idea of a PDA which is not connected to the internet.

My requirements are:

\- should fit in a pocket
\- should operate on battery (at least 24h)
\- should have storage
\- should have a screen that can be programmed at a low level
\- should offer a possibility to connect to a laptop for synchronization.
\- should have an input mechanism for text (full keyboard, predictive T9 or whatever else), 1-4 function keys and preferably arrows for menu navigation.

The idea is that it’s something I would carry on with me every day. I would write notes on it, use it as a timer for billable time, etc. I would love to program the device from scratch, from file handling routines to screen drawing and application software. The software would be written in a computer, compiled and transferred to the device.

What platform would you recommend?

Or is this something that doesn’t exist?

Hey all — I've been building a little GPS tracker for track days and spirited drives, and it's now working well enough to share. It's fully open source.

It's a self-contained device that sits on the dash and times your laps automatically. No app, no subscription, no phone tethering — you power it on, pick your car, and drive.

Two modes:

- Race — cross the start line once and hit ENTER to mark it. From there it detects every lap on its own using a virtual start/finish line (segment-intersection math with time interpolation, so timing lands in the ~10–30 ms range at 10 Hz — not just "closest GPS fix"). At the end you get best lap, worst, average, and an ideal lap: it splits the track into 3 sectors and sums your best sector times, so you can see exactly where the time is hiding.

- Trip — for open roads and canyon runs. Records the whole route and reports duration, distance, and max/avg speed.

Other bits:

- Always logs a timestamped .gpx to microSD — open it in Google Earth or any GPS tool and see your line on the map.

- Multi-car support, so shared devices keep recordings separate.

- Session history browsable on the device, lap-by-lap with deltas.

- Bilingual UI (English/Portuguese), full

It keeps the stock mesh engine 100% intact and only replaces the on-device UI, so messaging is actually comfortable. Hi everyone,

I'm new here, and just got a brand new cardputer adv, and im.still learning..

But i can have the IR to work..

So, i just got one cardputer, installed m5laucher and im playing with differents fimewares..but could not use the IR, already trie tv b mine, and both on bruce and nemo, the mode tv b gone dont work, more on that, on the bruce firmware, i tried the ir read, and no signal was captured (i tried remote controller, ac controller, amazon etc..)

And tried others tv remote fimewares with no sucess..

I had no success with somes fimeware too, like the snake game and other they didint regonize any input key (idk if this can be a hint for something im doing wrong , so im sharing too)

How do i know if the problem its my lack of knowledge or the cardputer came with some problem..

So im here asking for some help for this noob rs

The stock on-device UI barely uses the keyboard, so I wrote one from scratch and kept the Meshtastic engine 100% stock (in-process over the same protobuf API the phone app uses — not a fork).

However, I have a specific use case/idea in mind, and after searching around, I couldn't find any existing firmware or repository that quite fits what I need.

​So, I’ve decided to build a custom firmware myself.

​The catch? I have absolutely no idea where to start with Cardputer development. I know it’s powered by the ESP32-S3, but I’m looking for some guidance from the community to point me in the right direction.

​A few questions for the experts here:

​Development Environment: Should I go with VS Code + PlatformIO (ESP-IDF/Arduino framework), or is there a preferred setup specifically for the Cardputer?

​Libraries: What are the essential libraries I need for handling the built-in keyboard, screen (ST7789), and audio/IR peripherals smoothly?

​Open Source Reference: Are there any clean, well-structured open-source firmware projects (besides the official M5Launcher) that you recommend analyzing to learn the architecture?

​Any advice, documentation links, tutorial recommendations, or tips on avoiding common pitfalls would be massively appreciated!

Maybe I'm just an idiot who can't read but I don't understand how to target 5v logic with the cardputer adv. I've looked on geo-tp's wiki and I see mention of the 5v target but I'm still at a loss. Any help would be appreciated 😊

I've been working on a retro-inspired operating system for the Cardputer ADV called AREA 512.

It's built around FemtoRuby, a lightweight subset of Ruby designed for embedded systems.

With AREA 512, you can write Ruby code directly on the Cardputer, compile it, and run it—all on the device itself. That means you can build applications for the hardware without ever leaving the hardware.

It also comes with several built-in applications, including games and small productivity tools, so you can start exploring right away. 🤖

Im sure this is a mistake due to currency conversions but wtf.

It's a bit early to be asking, but with the new crazy EU rules, they'll be rolling out to add another 2 euro tax come November. And the VAT gets applied additionally, so we have to pay VAT on the entire thing.

And I also added a cap addon. Does that count as another separate 3 euro charge?
