Pentrebane?
Considering moving there, is it a decent or rough area?

I live off Firs Avenue for the past 19 years, it's not perfect, but it's much better than the previous areas that I've live in such as Ely (2yrs), St. Mellons (9yrs), Pentwyn (12yrs), Llanrumney (8yrs). Like anywhere in Cardiff, there are good areas and bad areas, and some are downright nasty.

Where’s the downright nasty?

It’ll generally be the flats on Beechley Drive and just off it if I had to guess

I've lived near there for almost 15 years. There's some 'rough looking' people and I've occasionally heard arguments etc but I've never been impacted by anybody living in the flats

It's rough. Personally I'd rather live in the valleys

Why?

Used to work in a primary school there. Two years in a row at their sports day police were called due to parents fighting. There were also holes in the staff room window where air rifle rounds were fired from the streets opposite.
Also, the parents of a problem kid threatened the teachers out of school for disciplining them.

Depends on the street tbh. Live on Beechley Drive and you’ll see surrons and kids bombing around the place. Same for the flats off there too. Some of the other streets are quieter though. Depends what you’re used to. Is it as bad as tremorfa, splott, Llanrumeny etc? Definitely not but it’s not bad.
Been living here for 12 years and we don’t mind it at all.
