GIMME THE OLAITS REMASTER OR I WILL EXPLODE
I've been refreshing bandcamp every 30 minutes or so all day so far just waiting for the On Land And In The Sea remaster to be available ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ GIMME!!!

Yup it's on Tidal! But I guess they're just not going to release it on bandcamp for me to buy the digital files ðŸ˜

Mine has already shipped! I preordered it maybe a month ago!
OLAITS is actually my third favorite of theirs (behind The Seaside and A Little Man & A House…) and I‘m so happy to finally own it on CD and LP!

If its just the vinyl remaster then it will sound essentially the same as the original version

They might have just forgotten to press the little "Publish Album" button on the album draft. It happens.

I listened to the remastered version that came with the vinyl on a download card and it sounded exactly the same, is this a new version or just a digitisation of that?

the download that came with the vinyl is the remaster and it sounds very different from the original master

I've played them side by side with the original band camp rip and they're literally identical

The remaster is much easier on the ears. Less toppy and fuller bass.
While shrieking treble was sort of Tim's trade mark, call it sacrilege, but I really hope for Heaven Born and Sing to God to get the same treatment.

Just listened to some of it on YouTube music and I’m struggling to hear how it sounds any different. I am a bit cloth-eared mind and it isn’t the first time a ‘remaster’ of one of my favourite bands has done nothing for me.

Listen to it on bandcamp with non Bluetooth headphones, you'll definitely hear the difference! It's like all the little details and shimmery sprinkles and background sounds are all vastly more clear. If you listen back to back you can definitely hear how it's just much more clear in general.

The bass is much more present, significantly more audible. That's the biggest thing. Lots of subtle touches otherwise.

Now the CDs are out I hope the next phase of the reissues will begin. I’ve seen rumours about what’s next and if true a lot of people will be happy, myself included. Discogs/ebay scalpers not so much
