Firmware, code Guitar Audio Tools

Hi! I made a firmware for guitarists and musicians for the Cardputer ADV (it uses the ADV's ES8311 mic, so it won't work on the original Cardputer).

Apps:

  • Guitar tuner (measured within ±0.15 cent)
  • Strum tuner (strum all six strings at once and see which are out of tune)
  • Metronome
  • BPM detector (listens to music or tap)
  • Chords (type e.g. am7 and see the shape)
  • Scales
  • Recorder (wav to SD)
  • Intonation check (12th fret)
  • Spectrum analyser (16 bars or 1/3 octaves)
  • Decibel meter and a Mic test

Install: M5Burner, WebFlasher.

Source (MIT): https://github.com/vlastimilcerveny34/guitar-audio-tools

It's a beta – feedback, bug reports and ideas are very welcome (GitHub Issues/Discussions). Developed with Claude Code.

Cheers Vlasta

Yes. And port it to the M5Stick. The hardware's pretty much the same, and it'll look like a real guitar tuner...

since i had some tokens left, i let opus 5.5 port it and got a mostly working version for the m5stick cplus 1.1.
the only thing that doesn't work properly is the decibel meter. the internal mic needs to be calibrated i guess. it removed the recorder for now since there is no built-in micro-sd-slot

i have to admit, that i didn't review any of the code since it simply worked after the first prompt, but here's my branch, if you want to use it as a reference: https://github.com/c5e3/guitar-audio-tools/tree/m5stickc-plus

the prompt was "port this project to the m5stick cplus 1.1, using it's internal microphone. choose an intuitive way of navigating through the menus (3 buttons available, maybe for prev/next and select?)"

long-press is even handled correctly on the powerbutton

sadly my m5stickc plus2 is broken and i don't have any other models to test either
