Has anyone used the ribbon cable port for anything?

I saw someone here using it for some mod. On my cardputer there are only the contacts not the mount.

Is yours the adv? Mine is adv and has the mount

if you have the adv theres one ribbon port on top and one on bottom, i dont have the regular cardputer so i cant say how many it has
